i purchased this ssd for my ps4 pro recently and was pleasantly surprised.My original hard drive had crapped out on me after just 3 years. after doing some research i realized this is fairly common for”hard disk drives”. as i looked for cheap recommendations i found that a solid state drive or ssd was the most recommended option. so i saw this for the price of 61$ and instantly bought it. came earlier than expected and installation was fairly easy. i think at some point i will opt for the 2 terabyte so i can put my whole library of digital games in 1 place.the product works as advertised and another small thing that nobody seems to mention is it improved my graphics. simple because everything on this type of drive loads almost instantly so when in a game the assets and data within the game space are loaded faster to the screen versus a hard disk drive which take some time to load or “stream”. so basically what that meant to me is there is no longer any pop in textures when playing graphically demanding games like the last of us or red dead redemption 2. every thing just is as you load into your world. of course everything else advertised is also true. faster loading times and smoother user interface both in game and console wise. also since there are no moving parts in this drive it will last for much longer that a standard hard disk drive. load times were cut by at least 40% and in some games way morehighly recommend 10/10 would buy again

This was very easy to install in the PS4. I now have additional storage capacity and the PS4 runs much quicker. Very happy with this purchase.The reason I got this was because the PS4 kept reporting a storage error and needed to rebuild its database requesting that I delete games and then reinstall them. It was doing it constantly and some of the games were huge file sizes to download. I tried everything online I could think of to remedy the situation and finally came down to the last solution by replacing the drive. Oddly I received the error a few times after installing, but after running the PS4 a few times after the install, the errors have gone away and have not come back. Not sure if it just needed to rebuild content on the drive or clear out a cache somewhere.Note that when you put the new drive into the PS4 you will need to follow a process for using a thumb drive to initializing the drive with the latest firmware.

This is really a 3.5 star overall review, but decided to round up because second attempt worked. Just some quick background information, I build and repair my own devices. I have done so for almost 20 years. I can assemble a gaming tower in my sleep. I'd like to think I'm fairly competent at building rigs. Good thing too, because I had problems.The first drive ordered came from Phoenix, AZ and didn't even register at all in Windows10. Not the initial USB test, and not after the hard install. Thankfully, Amazon sent a replacement before I could even return the first. Second drive came from Baltimore, MD. That failed the external USB test, but registered after the hard install. Just one problem, it wasn't showing in Windows but I could see it in DOS. That meant a conflict somewhere. Sure enough, I had to manually assign a drive letter in Disk Management.Did that, boom, problem solved. I doubled my storage space to help alleviate my primary Samsung SSD drive. I suppose you get what you pay for in this case, but the value is good and is about comparable to the Samsung drive of same size for much less. I hope my experience helps you with your troubleshooting issues if you're in need of a secondary drive.UPDATE: Now almost six months later, this drive became my internal storage. No issues whatsoever and still just as zippy as the day I bought it. I'll give back the half star I knocked off earlier.

If you having issues with ps4 memory this will fix it. My ps4 kept turning off and not wanting to come back on due to old faulty memory drive. This is plug an play for it worked great and gained extra memory compared to the factory one. Ease of use

I bought the terabyte SATA version of this drive when NAND prices were rockbottom in 2023. I had never heard of this company but decided to give them a try. I use the drive in an external enclosure, and its just as fast as any other SATA SSD I own, and oh yeah, this model comes with DRAM cache. I'm thinking of buying another since it's only 15 dollars more than what I bought my first one for.I'll keep an eye out for SSDs from Addlink in the future when I need more SSDs.

Easy to install, games are back to loading quickly, running smoothly, no glitches, and no lagging. I highly recommend this excellent product and seller. My review is based on my experience only.

Bought to replace ssd in ps4. Works perfectly and even increased the reading speed of the ps4. Would definitely buy another in the future if needed.

Para el precio, fue sin duda una gran compra. Lo utilizo actualmente en mi PS4 y el sistema y tiempos de carga han mejorado mucho. No es un cambio tan dramático como podría ser, pero lo mas seguro es que se deba a la misma arquitectura del PS4. Cumple con mis expectativas.
