Instructions for pickup sticks: Take the sticks in one hand, make a fist and rest it on the flat surface. Open your hand and let the sticks fall where they may. A player is allowed to repeat "throw" if first one is unsatisfactory. The player tries to lift the sticks individually with their fingers without moving other sticks. One stick can be chosen as a Mikado stick once that is picked up with fingers, it can be used to pick up remaining sticks. If a stick moves, your turn is done. The goal is to pick up as many sticks as possible without moving another stick from the pile. The player who reaches the point goal first is the winner There are many variations of the game (see PDF sent with order). Whoever has the most points at the end wins. Jacks game consists of jacks (one set of plastic and one set of steel). There is 1 rubber ball and 8 jacks. The most common jacks game is bouncing the ball once and picking up 1, 2, 3, ..... at a time until you miss. The player who picks up to 8 (or any other number you decide on), is the winner.
