Installation is quite demanding! It requires not only soldering equipment and skills, but also a molten solder snap-vacuum removal tool. I ended up discarding the Boss sound device and sending the battery back. But the item itself - if you can manage it - is precisely what is needed when the battery fails.

Steady as she goes is what you will need to solder this one to work properly. Don’t drink coffee first.

Too difficult to replace

This battery is a good replacement and seems to be of very high quality. I had trouble desoldering the wires from the power board. Maybe my soldering iron was not hot enough. So to not risk damaging the power board, I cut the wires to the old battery and spliced in to the wires from the new battery. I used shrink wrap to insulate the wires. My soundlink mini 2 works great now. Like new!!!

The idem was good but I couldn’t use it because I didn’t have the right tools to make it work and for me to have a professional fix it cost more than replacing it being I found it on sale I bought a new one. Thank you

This battery works great. Requires greater than average soldering skills to install.
