I chose the clear one as I personally prefer to have a unobstructed view of the brew during the process. Quality wise, the build is robust and all the moving parts do feel solid. I have been brewing daily for around 3 weeks now and I must say, this is super fast and simple. Cleanup is barely a chore. Travelling with it is convenient. Making a good coffee. Obviously, the beans are the most important: you will never geta good coffee from bad quality beans. But you can spoil the beans if you do not brew properly. The AeroPress is not spoiling the beans, you get the most. You should be careful if you are not using AeroPress flow control filter and drip filter lid control bottom. At first try I used the standard bottom lid. It was not aligned completely with the cup and when I poured the water got some coffee on the table. So I purchased AeroPress flow control filter. With the flow control filter it is perfectly Ok. It will start dripping when you press hard the plunger. Also: you control the time it brew. When you give some extra time for brewing- you get better coffee.
