Burke is an exotic, distressed western boot. lucchese’s own giant american alligator vamp provides a worn-in, rugged look and accented quarter stitching offers western style. due to the wild nature of our giant gator skin, tile size and shape may vary—each boot

Was on My Bucket List....
Fit is on the smaller side for a "D" standard width. Anyone with even a hint or question of width should prolly go for a wider width from the get go.Great Lucchese packaging and well protected for shipping. Was on the fence quite awhile about purchasing a distressed alligator hide pair of boots. Can say I was pleasantly surprised at the new condition of the distressed reptile hide on my particular pair. Giant alligator looks much better in person and wasn't nearly as chalky looking as the photos in many of Lucchese's images. Lucchese quality is evident for these Mexican origin boots. Made in Leon is my guess. Definitely handmade as you would expect. Vamp wasn't overly dry as I thought they might be. Manufacture date of 09/15 stamped in my pair. Treated with Bickmore exotic straight out of the box and would recommend to others. Toes are somewhat sharper than say a Cinch brand champion toe. No. 7 toe I think Lucchese calls it. Kinda looks like a 1 1/2- 1 3/4 inch walking heel on these. Shafts are lined and a little thicker than what I presumed they would have. Definitely not a run of the mill dress boot. Prices seems to be coming down a little and took the plunge on a pair of these in the chocolate color. You'll positively know they are real giant alligator for sure. Characteristics of true alligator hides of size look impressive and are cool. I don't think anyone will ever assume or ask you if they're the real deal or not. I just hope they wear and last as long as I've always heard they would with proper care. Have a lot of other reptile boots and these are my 1st giant alligator purchase. Un mistakenly a fine pair of boots that I'll cherish and take care of.... And wear the hell out of. : )

Small but Great!
Boots are breaking in nicely but definitely order at least 1/2 size larger. If you wear thicker socks, order 1 full size larger.I ordered 1/2 size larger - the fit is tight (I also have a narrow foot) but after wearing several times the boots are getting much better. The look of these boots is awesome! They are my favorites already!!

WAY TOO SMALL. Can't believe i can't return them.
This product was too small and it was a Christmas gift, so my husband just received them and now they don't fit and i didn't realize the window to return them had closed. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING! $685 wasted on boots that are way too small even though they are what size he normally wears!!!!!!!!! Very angry about this right now. I surely hope the seller will read this and contact me to resolve this issue and let us return these boots! They were NEVER worn of course, since he just got them today and they do not fit!

I ordered 11 D, what I got was 11 ...
I ordered 11 D, what I got was 11.5 D but feels as if it's EE. I decided to work with it rather than having to deal with sending it back

Great boots, but…
These are great boots and I love them. There are two issues that should be addressed, though. 1.) the leather vamp is made from multiple pieces of alligator leather that are sewn together, which is a sign of a lower tier boot. This keeps costs down, but this is not a statement boot. No one will look at this boot and think “wow! This boot is classy”. This is, to put plainly, an everyday boot that happens to be alligator. If you are looking for a “look at me, I’ve made it!” Boot this isn’t it. I don’t really know what the demographic would be for this boot beyond someone looking for a fashion boot that has no budget. 2.) there are very few options for conditioning this leather in the way it is processed on this boot, and because alligator leather needs a lot of care, I don’t know if this boot is going to last a super long time.Otherwise, the fit is great, and I think this is a solid, good looking boot that is about as cheap as you will find in an alligator leather.

Bad Pair
The seam on the shaft has a terribly large and painful lump on it. Boots have to be altered to even wear. Poor craftsmanship. Very very poor.
