Will the payoff be worth the journey?
This is more of the same which is not to say anything negative. The action is nonstop, the characters are likeable and well written, the educational aspects are both front and center but at the same time, as strange as it sounds, unobtrusive. The only concern a reader who has gotten this far might have is that it all seems formulaic by now. Another book, another country, some new fictional characters, some old historical ones, and another clue. The plot advances in that Dan and Amy find out what readers probably have suspected all along. At this point the reader has to have faith that the payoff will be worth the investment to date. Will the big reveal at the end show that all these books in the middle were relevant to the plot in important ways? Or are they just padding out the series? I'm betting on the former but if the latter it's very entertaining padding. Bring on the next one.

Spectacular! Did not disappoint!
I'm posting this review for my son Jack, an avid fan of the 39 Clues series. He blasted through each of these books in no time. Hard to put down. The suspense is thrilling! Difficult to guess who the back-stabbers are! This is a great story for kids. The journey deepens as they get closer to the seventh clue and the mystery of how their parents died. Anxiously awaiting the delivery of Book 9!If you like this series you might also like Fablehaven and Percy Jackson.Pre-ordering through Amazon has been a wonderful experience.

Another Great Installment
Dan and Amy travel from Indonesia to Pretoria, South Africa and learn all about Shaka Zulu and Winston Churchill in this the seventh adventure in the 39 Clues series. They are on the run from the evil Isabel Kabra and the evil but inept Eisenhower Holt. They have encounters with Alastair Oh and still don't really know whose side he is on. They also meet some friends of Grace and learn what family branch they are part of. The book was filled with exciting adventures and lots of dangerous situations.

South African Adventure
In the seventh book of the 39 clue series Amy and Dan Cahill are in South Africa. This series aimed at teen aged readers is also fun and light reading for the older set. This time the teen aged sleuths are dealing with a secret message, A Tomas stronghold and the strategies of a long dead warrior. The volume also includes 6 game cards for those playing the on-line game.

Madagascar
Another very much on the run book, the clues are impossible to get but very clever of the characters. I wish the books would be longer. Can't wait for the next book.
