The reviews on this product are mixed, and I dont really understand how so I'm writing this to add my two cents..While on vacation I purchased this from CVS because my grays were really grown out.. The instructions were very easy to follow..I applied the clear primer, then mixed the developer and color together and began to apply to my roots. After waiting 25-30 min, I could see the color had developed fully and rinsed the dye off in lukewarm water in the shower then applied the included conditioner.My hair came out amazing, felt much softer than my previous brand, the color was a great match and all grays were actually covered!I did notice that when the bathroom was cold, the color wasnt developing as quickly until after I turned a heater on inside the bathroom.. but I've also noticed this with other brands in the past.After my hair dried, it did feel much softer, not as dried out as with the other brand.. and the color lasted without fading until the next time my roots grew out!I actually ended yo switching to this brand and the Toscana color, because its a more natural color and tone for my complexion! After 2 root touch ups, the color looks even nicer since I'm able to see it grown out a couple of inches, and it looks great in the sunlight!As for the "multidimensional" color, I didn't notice any significant miracles with the middle or ends if my hair because I've dyed it so dark the last 15 years, that nothing is going to add any highlights or dimension.. I do plan in using this and we'll see how it looks after the old brand has completely grown out, I can't wait to see my hair completely colored by this brand in the Toscana color.I had a great experience with this product and other brands failed to color all of my grays.. I was definitely impressed by the performance, the smell, it feels more gentle than my previous brand, and my hair doesn't feel as dry or coarse after using this 2 times.I hooe this helps anyone in the fence about purchasing this.. I may update this review again after more touch ups, and I think there are going to be some nice before/after photos too, as the color is more natural on me than any previous dyes I've used.

I am impressed. I am 60 - my hair is down to the end of my neck but I’ve developed the style of clipping it up. If my hair is clean, colored & taken care of it looks nice and makes me feel good. I’m going to get this product again. One major thing I noticed is that I didn’t put any product on afterwards. It did still need it after air drying but only a little. For the first time I could let my hair air dry, clip it up and my bangs even looked good. Yes, I recommend this.

The media could not be loaded. The good thing about this dye is it doesn’t damage your hair. I’ve bleached mine, dyed it more times than I can count and I use heat on my hair a few times a month. The only negative thing I can say about this hair dye is its longevity. It’s been about a month and the BLACK BLUE dye is already washing out. I’m not mad about it at all because I didn’t like the color on me. At this point I’m probably just going to color strip it better than having two toned hair. LOL! The video was a week after I died it, it was BLUE BLACK. Then it turned into black now it’s turning back into brown my natural hair color.

When i was in the 6th grade, the first week at a new school where I knew no one, one of the worst people Ive ever met in my life asked me “what “number” my hair color was” and she and all the other popular girls laughed and laughed. Like most 11 year olds in the late 90s, I didnt even understand this joke… it took me a while to figure out she was implying that i dyed my hair because i have a very unusual natural hair color. This sparked a 20+ year hatred for my naturally strawberry blonde hair that Ive only recently begun to let go of thanks to a wonderful therapist and the rise in popularity of redheaded fictional characters in pop culture as well as celebs… back in the 90s/early 2000s, being a redhead meant you were either ugly, bad tempered, or were bound to work in the worlds oldest profession.After years of half heartedly dyeing and highlighting Im finally ready to return to my natural color and this box did just the trick. So now I can finally say: Amanda, im an 8.63 :)

I dye my hair red regularly and wanted to try out a less harsh formula. I treated this color the same way I treat my usual dyed hair, being gentle, washing with color safe shampoo, etc. and it rinsed out completely in 3 washes, like it was never there. I have never had this happen with anything but some super cheap vivids I tried in highschool (think like a dollar general store pink dye lol). Also still had a pretty harsh scent and did cause some slight burning feeling on my scalp, again I have been dying my hair for 12 years and have never had this happen with other red dyes.

So I appreciated the products within the package. Very easy to use. The primer had a pleasant scent, the hair dye was not strong scented. After I followed all the steps and applied it to my hair, it was easy. There was also A Lot of product, my hair was fully saturated root to tip. I left it on for about 35 mins.Now the downside was that my hair came out really dark. I went from a high lift light brown (dyed back in October/3+months ago). I wanted to turn it into a light golden brown. That did not happen. My hair color dropped down to a medium dark brown?! It’s a crazy outcome especially since I was expecting for the color to add golden tones to my already light brown hair.So buyer beware, this shade is not “light golden brown” and although I truly did love the set, and product application, I did not like appreciate how dark the color came out. Kind of misleading. I wish I would of tried a lighter shade, maybe the outcome would of been better. Also, did not blend/cover all the banding on my roots from previous dye, that kind of sucked as well. :(

Have used other products without peroxide that did not do much for color. This product actually gave me so nice blonde highlights. Will have to wait and see if colors disappears as other reviews have noted.
