These tvs are great and easy install

I am an IT expert and love tech. I was looking for something to install into our new SUV as we chose to not purchase the dealership option. So glad I did, this setup is so much nicer than any dealer option out there. All apps run fast and the touchscreen is really quick. I have netflix and youtube tv running on both, the picture quality is a 10 of 10. The wires are the only thing I gotta figure out, but will be hiding those this summer.

I ordered this for our 2016 ESV and 2022 X7. We were driving from OK to OH this past month and wanted to keep my 5/6 year olds occupied. For a quick install everything is included - the cigarette 12v adapter that has a Y cable to power both, AND a permanent hard wire kit is included. What's really cool is that the hardwire kit goes into a unified cable that's attached to the back of the unit - this allows for a seamless install if you run the wire inside the chair. I used the 12v this time as we were only temporarily installing it in the Escalade until we got home. I powered them on inside with the included 120v adapters and let them update - they have the latest Android already. They have no batteries so you HAVE to use the adapters. The screens are glossy but beautiful. They're not HDR or anything special - but 15.6" 1080p LED is more than enough and it's more than enough for my kids. I do wish the screen quality was slightly better for the $700 price tag. They come with the ability to connect HDMI to HDMI so you can mirror one thing to both. I chose not to do that so each kid could watch their own. I loaded PLEX and NETFLIX on both and attached them to the wifi in my car. One unit would not install plex if you use MicroSD as expanded storage instead of just external storage. They really need to fix that. Also how fast the unit is with a MicroSD is based on how fast that card is - do not buy cheap ones and install or you'll wait 20min for what should be a 60s install. Pros: LARGE screens, biggest I've ever seen on a seat back The included mounts are VERY easy to install on headrest posts that are round. Bluetooth works well enough Speakers are VERY loud in the back of your head if bluetooth fails (out of batteries in headset). Pro/con depending on how you look at it The ambient lighting is a neat thing - it's also ultra bright but you can control color/brightness. Seems to play anything I throw at it CONS: The included mounts for whatever reason do not slide all the way into the headrest adapter - not sure why they made it 3" long when only 2" can slide in. Going deeper would have given a more flush look. The units are very picky on MicroSD cards - I chose Sandisk Ultra/Extreme VERY expensive - $700? You can get 2 generic mounts and 2x Ipads for this much. They do more, will likely last longer, and you can just take them to the Apple store. But yes they're smaller. 15.6" is crazy big and my children figured it out quickly enough. The Android OS is highly customized and you have to use their own Play store. I don't like that, why can't you just use the normal Play store? This tells me they won't support the software after very long which means in say ~3 years or less this may not work anymore. Fit and finish for the Android OS looks cool for the ad on Amazon but in usage it's not even as good as vanilla android. Overall however how did it fare? The only issues we had were that the speaker built in goes full tilt if the bluetooth headphones die (battery) and that the sound doesn't turn off if you "turn off" the tablet while in use. The video keeps playing in the background for whatever reason. My kids however - 95% reduction in whining, fighting, etc. For that reason alone it's worth 4 stars.
