Followed directions exactly. Not exactly a novice at this sort of thing so no trouble there. Tested it as directed. Worked fine on testing. Put it on the dog, stopped working. Great.Receiver- light comes on, test worked fine, kept shutting itself off while on the dog. If I need to make a quick correction? Forget about it. Had to stop the dog's bad behaviour manually, then convince him to let me turn the light back on, not terribly easy when he's focused on something he shouldn't be.Transmitter - tested fine, connected to receiver in testing no problem. Put it on the dog, it turned itself off. Have to make a quick correction? Don't think so - first you have to power it back on, then re-adjust the power setting. And then??Well, then they don't talk to each other again.So in the middle of the training session we had to stop while I reconnected the two. Again and again and again. I gave up and am returning it.The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because returning it is easy.UPDATE: I am upgrading my rating on this product solely due to the sellers very quick and efficient handling of this problem. They have been EXTREMELY easy to work with and have made every effort to make sure I am satisfied with the solution. Thank you to the sellers.

(UPDATE: This collar has absolutel solved the barking issue. Dex only had to be shocked ONE TIME. After that, he wore the collar for a while and when the beep sounded he stopped in his tracks. Best training tool EVER. This collar works with my little yapper!)I adopted him from a rescue agency. He had been neutered late and had some REALLY bad habits, including barking at EVERYTHING. This collar requires that you be present to initiate the warnings, of which there are 3. Bell alert, vibrate, and shock, used in a crescendo to control barking. When Dex hears the bell, he looks down at his chest and SHUTS UP. AWESOME!!! The control can be used on 3 dogs who have been fostered in to the remote control. Now I need another collar for my 2nd yapper. Peace is good in my house.

For the price, I could not be more happy with this remote and collar set. I have the option of alarm, vibration, and a small shock if needed. My puppy has never needed the shock peace because the alarm and vibration are enough. It puts me in control of a little naughty dog that refuses to come or to obey. It helps with barking, and has made a world of difference in our puppy’s behavior. I did not use the plastic collar that comes with it, it wrapped a couple lines of elastic so that I could pop it easily on and off of her. I do not keep it on her in her crate or rest times. The battery life is fantastic on both units and charge extremely quickly. I am very pleased and highly recommend to anyone else with a dog.

It works as advertised on small dogs. Watch YouTube videos on how to use ecollars to get better results with your dogs. This lower priced model is serviceable, but with 5 intensity levels, it lacks the finer adjustment options to dial in your dog. We are finding its a good starting unit, but may graduate to a more sophisticated one when we spend more time implementing the training techniques. Works for now, even with some of the mild frustrations (falls asleep, loses connectivity, not the best for 2 dogs, limited intensity adjustments, etc). You get a good value for what you pay for. At this point, even putting the collar on the dog straightens his "teenage rebellion" up pretty well...

I can understand why it’s needed, but in the beginning it was hard to understand.Overall, when it did work it was great - I only needed to use the beep button on my dog for him to get the idea. I loved it when it worked, Just stinks that it didn’t last!

Works well. You can tell it’s a little cheaper but I haven’t had any problems and I’ve had it a couple of months. The only problem is there are 2 “dog” options which is nice if you have 2 dogs but sometimes you think it’s workinv and it’s not because it’s on the wrong “dog”. Overall I recommend this collar my dog listens a lot better and doesn’t run out in the street anymore.UPDATE:Don’t put the collar on too tight. The cheap collar isn’t worth the $250 pet bill or seeing my dog in pain spend some more money and get a better collar. 2 stars because it was okay for a while

Fast shipping. Product exactly as seller described. It works perfectly. I love the easy to use set up and buttons. Perfect for smaller dogs in training. I have not used the shock yet and do not anticipate having to do so. I use the bell setting to warn if needed and have only needed to use the vibrate mode once or twice. Love that this product is lightweight and not too bulky. All around great product for those not looking to use long term. And I say this only because IT WORKS! When used for its intended purpose. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for great deal and a great experience from a professional seller. Thumbs up

It worked well at first. Used it about a week and it served it's purpose. I didn't need to use it for a couple months. However, my dog recently started a new behavior that I wanted to stop. I tried to charge the collar and it won't even charge. It gets 2 stars only because it was good initially. Only lasting a week or so makes it a bad purchase. I had a different one that was only slightly more expensive years ago and it lasted two years or more. This one is not worth the cost
