Classic board game!
This is an awesome classic board game. First of all, the packaging from Amazon was perfect and it came in big hard box. For first timers, it will take some time to read and understand the rules properly, but once you have done that, it is pretty easy to follow. This is a real detective game and does require a good amount of concentration to play the game well. The game can be played by as little as 2 players but more the players, more will be the fun. Also, if only 2 players are playing, it will get a little boring after some time. So make sure you have atleast 3-4 enthusiastic people who want to actually play the game before buying this. The game is superb and requires true skills and its fun to collaborate with others and catch the thief and on the other hand it is also fun to get away from the police and plan your escape routes if you are the thief. Enjoy!

One of the most addictive board games marketed by Funskool
Remembering this game from my childhood and the nostalgic television ad from the 80s, I only got a chance to buy it now. And I must say this game is all the shizz! It's addictive and requires some in-depth strategy and critical thinking regardless whether you're playing as Cops or (The Sinister) Mister X. The quality of the board is quite good, with a beautiful overhead map of London. Although the tickets aren't as graphically detailed as the international Ravensburger version. Nevertheless it is a Milton Bradley classic and ensures tons of replay value, even more than Game of Life or Monopoly, but that's just my opinion. P.S. Funskool - Please bring back Gi Joe and Loopin Louie

Great game but requires 5 players for best gameplay
This is a great game. It emulates the tension of chor-sipahi, one desperately trying to evade capture while others trying to catch him before time runs out. Time is represented in this game through travel coupons in form of taxis, buses and underground tickets. Before all the detectives run out of these tickets, they need to co-ordinate and pin-point the location of thief on the map of London. I feel it requires min of 5 players for most fun and balanced gameplay. The game is otherwise heavily tilted towards the thief, as all discarded tickets from detectives keep going to him, in addition to this, the thief controls 2 special type of tickets. Pros: i) Good quality board. Large size, by far the best component inside the box ii) Good quality inserts and tokens Cons: i) Quality of pegs below average. Cheap and ugly looking. ii) Requires 5 players for ideal balanced gameplay. iii) Rather bland manual/rule book.

A must buy for kids
A very good game for all ages. May take time to understand the rules, but once you learn the tricks, you will enjoy a lot , especially if you are the thief. Dodging 4 cops becomes very entertaining and challenging for the brain.

Good is game. But build or material quality is not.
(1) Strangely the plastic frame with 24 holes is called log book. (2) Page 3 last paragraph in the instruction book is not properly composed. Look at the screenshot. (a) The open bracket just before the word "punch". (b) Full stop after the word "each". (3) Size of fare tickets should be bigger. (4) The font size of stop numbers on the board should be bigger. Everything should have been more spacious ie further apart. The drawings of buildings and other city features could be better. (5) Note that if you read the instruction book you will see that instruction book itself is not mentioned in the content list. (6) Instruction book is also not mentioned in the contents printed on lower left corner of the bottom of the box. Look at the image. (7) The 24 hole log book should have a feature to hold the tickets in place. The tickets can slide and the location of Mr X may get accidentally revealed. (8) Both sides of all the tickets should have been printed. (9) All the 6 plastic pawns should have been made of solid colour instead of transparent. Basically it looks as if to cut cost or make it affordable for buyers the quality has been compromised. Funskool quality used to be better in the 80s and 90s.

Not for stupid people. Intellectual discretion advised.
I've played a lot of board games but never have I encountered one as simple but smart as this one. Takes a little time to set up and to explain the rules to a new player. Almost everyone screws up the first game they play. But once, you get the hang of it, it is insanely addictive and quite a brain-teaser too. You need to be able to take time to analyse and carefully deduce where your opponent might go next all the while keeping a close eye on his eye movements and facial expressions to catch any info they nervously give away WHILE also being really cautious about the kind of transport you're using since you have a really limited supply as such. It just keeps you engrossed and at the edge of your seat or chair or bed or whatever the hell you're sitting on, I don't care! Just grab this game already and see it for yourself. If you don't like it, then maybe you should just stick to ludo or snake and ladders. Not everyone is meant for greatness.

Quality is good. Game is good. Have to read the rules well to play strategically. But lesser the players more tedious the game (as we have to play their turns too). It's fun with more players

I have played this game since childhood. It’s a classic in our family. The game features detectives and “mr x”. Mr x had committed a crime and the detectives must hunt him down. They have limited resources, and mr x has growing resources. In the form of tickets for fare for taxies, buses, underground, and waterways you travel around as a team hunting down mr x. They must reveal at set intervals their location, then they get to go dark again, showing only the means of transportation they took (or a special black ticket they only get a few of. These could be any mode of transport, and can help mr x make a stealthy getaway! Played with six year olds, played with adults. Both groups love this game!! Add to your collection, you won’t regret it!

I made sure this was a licensed reissue from Ravensburger before purchasing, but my was I disappointed on receiving this item. All components are utterly cheap, the game cards are misprinted and the die cut on the card is so bad that they all rip on punching them out, the game board feels cheap and thin, you have to put colored stickers around the game characters that don’t fit, absolute disaster, have sent back and will track down the original, don’t bother, not worth the money.
