Purchased to use descaling my water distillation machine. Works as expected (cleans like a dream) and I appreciate being able to buy in bulk.

Fantastic product, particularly for the price. I use it to make sour candy or to make fruit sour, and it can be used in beverages as well. The seal on the bag isn't great, so I would consider having some large ziplock bags around when you open it. Other than that, the packaging was great. It is highly effective for an individual's sour needs, and has roughly the texture of granulated sugar. The color is a perfect white, and it mixes easily into drinks.

Ordered this to tackle two cleaning challenges, mineral buildup on cat fountains, and a toilet that looked perpetually stained. It took repeated goes at it, but the toilet is startlingly white and most of the mineral buildup came off of the metal on the cat fountains, and it also helped break through the gunky buildup on the plastic parts. It works better with hot water, and I used it in conjunction with baking soda. It dissolves easily, but with the baking soda it really bubbles up and seems to be more effective. I rinsed it well and the cats don’t seem to be picking up any off flavor in their water from it. It’s hard on the skin, so you’ll want to wear gloves when you use it, or a protective barrier cream. It didn’t dissolve 100% of the buildup, but probably 90%. I plan on continuing to make this part of the cleaning routine when I switch out filters, and I feel like I’m finally doing a thorough job with this. I hope that over time, the rest of the mineral stain will dissolve. When I treated the toilet with this, I also put some in the tank, so the reservoir was not continuing to create that problem. Very easy to use, just dumped some in the bowl along with the baking soda, and let it go to work. I have tried so many things to get rid of that mineral buildup up, including pumice stone, barkeepers friend, and the usual cleaning products, and those things helped, but didn’t solve the problem. I’m really confident that this is a long-term solution. The bag is massive, and a little goes a long way, so I expect this to last quite a while. None of these things are huge in the greater scale. I didn’t solve world hunger or the heartbreak of psoriasis. But it did sweep away a couple of niggling little irritations. Small victories. I’m happy.

Price is a little wild- but it is a pretty decently sized bag. I guess I'm just used to getting a bulk bag at my local grocery store... and I moved. So I am happy I can still find it I guess. I use it to clean/sanitize things and the results have made me happy.
