Gallium melts at just 86 degrees Fahrenheit (about 29.7 Degree Centigrade ) which means it can melt in your hand or when the weather gets hot. It melts just above room temperature . Gallium is nontoxic. If you accidentally get it on the carpet it can be easily washed out with soap and water. It is a great gift for science projects and experiments

All the fun of mercury but much safer
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Gallium is an interesting metal. It melts just above room temperature, so you can easily melt/freeze. This makes it great for science experiments for children without needing extreme heat or a heavy metal.
