Brown Rice Flour&Vermiculite Mushroom Substrate 6 Jars (1/4 Pint Jar) Growing Kit

the jars were completely sterile as described. out of 6, I only had one contaminate with mold. that was my fault because I didn't cover the injection holes with micropore tape. I assumed, for some reason, that the foil cap would suffice (i'm a first timer) after ennoculation, I left the 4 open holes on each jar for two weeks before deciding I should seal them. im fortunate the other 5 were forgiving. the moral is USE THE MICROPORE TAPE because bad news bears if you don't, that's why. the jars are not the smooth glass that is shown in the picture. it has grooves and bumps and is very very very hard to see through the glass. I saw first signs of colonization around 6 days. all are at 100 % after about 3 weeks. the mold took over completely overnight and im scared the rest may go as well.

Came in decent time and wrapped in plastic wrap, then the jars were wrapped in tin foil, then more plastic wrap, then another layer of Tin foil, haven't inoculated yet but they look good if you need to grow something quickly! Full jars and I've never seen the paper sheets go underneath the jar lid before, makes for an easier inoculation sterility wise. I would buy these again.

I would recommend these. They are a little pricey, but I already have mycelium after 8 days on about half of my jars. Hopefully the others get going.

Previous jars were great but this time they were dried out and began to grow mold in just a few days...wasted money

Outstanding jars with no contamination. Rapid colonization. Definitely will purchase again.

They came damaged

I have gotten good jars once before that were great. These are not even full, have an inferior filling and the holes in the lid are just taped with masking tape. Does not seem like much care or sterility precautions were taken.

When I received my jars 4 of them were cracked or broken so I don't think I will buy any more
