We have super hard water. The water softener wasn't working when we bought the house. We found out quickly we needed to do something. I kept seeing the descalers but I didn't know if they would really work. We fixed the water softener and that helped some but it isn't hooked up to the kitchen so my main appliances, fridge, washer, dishwasher weren't getting the softened water still. I was afraid they would corrode. I looked at descalers again and saw this one. I'm totally a fan of Mike Holmes and his shows on TV. This product was actually less expensive than others so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The instructions let you know it's not an overnight fix and gives you a timeline. We saw improvement in a couple days and it just gets better and better. Well worth the investment. I'm not sure how it would work completely by itself but the water softener wasn't fixing the problem by itself. We are super happy with the results in the showers with both. It seems to be helping in the kitchen and as I mentioned, the softened water doesn't go to the kitchen. We might get brave at some point and nix the softener and try just the descaler, but for now we are using both. 100% satisfied and highly recommend!!!!!Update: the product says it takes awhile to get the full effect. As stated we did get some results we are getting even better results now! I scrubbed the scale off my shower and it has stayed clean! Such a great product! We were skeptical for sure, but it’s worth every penny!

I have similar unit installed before at my old place and I know that this type of unit will help reducing the hard calcium built up too much and easier to clean.First unit: It's super easy to install at my Nevada home I am renting with my espresso and Keurig machines. It took me about 20 mins to finish it. I was so happy that I plan to install on my friend's home for him due to he is moving and renting his current house soon although he already has salt based water softener; which the renters most likely won't buy, carry heavy 40/50 lbs of $7 salt to maintain it in Los Angeles area, aka hard water zone.Second unit: It even took me faster this time around 10+ mins. And it has the LED running after plug-in to the power which my 1st unit doesn't have.So, it came to me that my 1st unit is defective. Here, I tried to return exchange with Amazon platform. The Amazon Market place seller has non returnable status: This item isn't eligible for return. For safety reasons, items containing flammable liquids or gases can’t be returned to Amazon. For more information or help, please contact us.So this took me forever to get the warranty, replacement, return going. I spent almost a week and dozen of attempts to get this fix with 2 weeks old, 1st unit taken care of.Third unit: The replacement for the 1st one from the Marketplace finally honored and installed in minutes. It is looking great. The LED luminated following the water flow speeds. That's something special.I hope the better return experience and missing information LED lamination is visible from the sales literatures. That's why I came back to update and add the video and picture to show the functional unit looks.

Not sure if is doing its job

Can't rate it. I haven't had it long enough to see the results. But it came when they said it would.

I have very hard well water, which leaves white spots everywhere and grows crystals in my faucets. I wanted to test if magnetic/electronic de-scaling actually works so I bought the cheapest one and was shocked by how well it worked. Dishes dried spotless. Soap lather improved. But the cheap unit failed after a couple of months so I bought this more expensive model. It just doesn't do the job. White crud is back and soap won't make suds. The effective until was 12v DC. This unit works on AC. What I know about magnets makes me question using AC. This unit is a total waste, maybe descaling a little bit, but not much. Buy a DC powered unit instead.

Actually does exactly what it claims. I installed a new whole house system and added this to it. Took about 3 weeks to notice a better difference, water was cloudy. After that water is the best around. Glad I added it.

I've had this installed for about 7 weeks now to a brand new water treatment system for my well water to my house. There has been no change to the limescale/calcium build up on my dishes and everwhere else the water touches. I am embarrassed to have company over and at a loss on how to fix the issue.

It works while the water is running. It will not magically remove heavy sediments from your water, it just binds them in the running water. I most noticed it's effectiveness with the washing machine (detergent suds more) and in the shower (hair feels better). Spend 4 seconds drying your chrome fixtures to avoid hard water spots and the you're all set.
