3M VHB Heavy Duty Mounting Tape 5952, 0.125" width x 5yd length (1 Roll)

This tape is absolutely useless. I bought it thinking I was going to get an industrial-strength tape but it won't hold anything in place. After trying to manipulate it into place (on two-sided sticky tape on which the non-sticky side of this 3M product would NOT stick) and handling it with my fingers, this tape proved even less tacky. This is the most disappointing buying experience.

When using the tape I noticed that the side that was exposed to the air had no tackiness, but the side that was covered with the red backing was suuuuuper tacky. From some research, it seems like 3M only sells this tape in gigantic rolls to resellers, who then cut it up to size and resell online. So I presume my roll of tape was bought in bulk, cut to size, and re-rolled, therefore reducing the tackiness.Protip:1. So one thing you can do is make sure that the seller is someone that is recognized, or Amazon.com. My roll from "Weupe Retail" was not sticky at all.2. Learn how to apply double sided tape. Prepare the surfaces, heat up the tape with a heat gun/hair dryer/lighter, press firmly to apply tape to surface (20 seconds or so), remove tape backing, clamp the two pieces together. Apparently the tape reaches 50% strength in 12 hours, and 100% strength in 24 hours, so you better find something to clamp with =)

I ordered this same product from the same seller only a few weeks ago. It arrived with two wax paper sheets to protect the edges of the tape. That roll worked as it should. I ordered the same roll from the same seller only three weeks later and this time it arrived in a sealed plastic bag. It even had some sort of authentication sticker at the start of the roll. I decided to test it out at home before taking it to work. I had a nearly weightless piece of trim that came loose from a recessed light, cleaned both surfaces and applied. Scotch tape would have held it up longer. I use VHB for work. This stuff is either very old or counterfeit. I'm getting so exhausted with all the shoddy products sold on amazon. Reviews mean nothing on here these days.

This type of double face tape is very good, but in this width it proved to be unuseable because after sticking one side tothe narrow surface I bought it for (a cord) , when I tried to peel off the red protective film from the other side, it comes back off the other side be3cause the red film sticks much better too it's own backing film than the tape sticks to other things underneath.So if you have the same type standard installation that I described above, you shouldn't buy this tape because you'll never be able to install anything with it. plan on using the wider version and trimming it where it sticks out from behind your adhered object rather tahn waste your money on this unuseable width because it won't stay down at all when you try to peel the backing off.

This is the best stuff for sticking things to the back of my phone or case such as a go strap or one of those magnets used for car dashboards.It does have a sponge to it and is just less than a 1/16” when on, and can be picked at to remove with an exacto knife (like if you change phones or cases) but then you need a new piece. It can be easily cut with a scissors too

I was in a jam...my solar panels fell off and I applied the framework back onto my motorhome in 50 degree temps. It works well yet I plan to redo if warmer weather does not improve the initial adhesion. I did not have time to pull out the heat gun. I cleaned the surfaces with 99% rubbing alcohol (not easy to find) and pressed firmly after application. This tape is amazing nd I am glad I did not have to pull out the rivet gun or screws. DO NOT use too much of this tape or you may NEVER separate the parts you have assembled. Do some testing before committing to your plan.

This is the best double sided tape out there for smooth surfaces. I use it on everything from sticking things to my windshield (plastic to glass), to mounting things to my desk (plastic to wood), to holding batteries together for my UPS (plastic to plastic). It's extremely strong, holds tight, and works in a wide temperature range (everything you experience inside a car, from below freezing temps to 120F+ in the sun). I bought the 1"x36yd pack, and it's in good condition and of good quality, not a re-roll.

This is not your typical double sided tape. It's more like the super version! Seriously, an extremely strong bond is formed! There are a couple things to be aware of though:It is not "scotch tape" thin. It is a little thicker, not an issue for most uses - but do not expect paper thin.It may stick too good. That sounds kind of like an oxymoron...tape that bonds too well - but if you think you may want to use this as a temporary solution, get something else. Seriously, only put this on something that you want to say put!Hands down the best double sided tape I've ever used.

Stuck down a car body kit no problem. Seriously tough stuff.

This 3M tape is so useful. Don't forget though that to get the best performance you should apply pressure for 20 min with tape, weight or a clamp. Being able to order the exact width needed let us save a lot of time putting up exterior window trim.

No es nada parecido a la foto, aunque la especificación es como la descripción, me dejé guiar por la fotografía, pero es una tira ultra delgada, no le encontré utilidad al tamaño.

Ya e utilizado este producto y es de muy buena calidad, solo hay que revisar bien las especificaciones por el tamaño, pero me es útil, el envío fue rápido y sin problemas

I'm glad I choose this tape. It is high quality: strong and sticky as a high quality tape should be. Can hold a considerable weight. 3M is definitively a leader.
