Really good value
For the price this head unit is great. I have a 15 WRX with the base sound system. I was worried when installing this head unit because only one plug from the original head unit had a suitable adapter in this kit but apparently that is all that is needed. The other unused plug are for SiriusXM, an interface that links the old radio to the upper display and a ground which are all unneeded. I slid the USB adapter down to the passenger side between a gap in the carpet the center console. In the new head unit you have to go into the settings to assign the steering wheel controls to their proper functions. You can also change the button colors to match the car's red color scheme, just make sure to disable the "led animation". The software feels a little janky but wireless android auto works and that's all I need.

Easy to install and set up
Day one review .Found this unit to be pretty easy to install . My car did not have the Harmon factory system , and the non Harmon wiring harness had extra plugins that confused me as I couldn’t figure out where they went , but after giving up on it and finishing insulation I found everything worked great , even with the left over factory and aftermarket connectors being left unattached. So I’m unsure what the point of them being there was for . But if you ignore all the extra hookups you can have it installed in less than an hour.It does fit in the dash . But you have to sorta bend it in the middle to get it in , feels like you’re going to break it , but it’s the only way to get it in .Wireless CarPlay works great . No complaintsSound leaves something to be desired .This unit has a ton of sound adjustments and preset EQ settings, but I haven’t found one that even makes it as good as factory just yet . Factory speakers were not great sounding to begin with , and this unit brought out all their flaws . So it may be worth upgrading the factory speakers along with this unitThe WiFi works … ish . When trying to connect to the WiFi it will kill the wireless CarPlay connection. And then the unit will kill the WiFi and then try and establish CarPlay connection. , sorta a cycle until it eventually connects. No rhyme or reason on that . May not even connect . But when connected it works , however it does work quite slowly . You’re lucky to get through a full video on YouTube without it buffering over and over even on lowest video quality settings. Wouldn’t plan to use internet based music platforms directly through this unit .So far I have not got the USB’s to work . They will charge the phone but I can’t actually play music through them to the unit . Maybe it’s bc apple phone and android tablet ? Not sure but it would be nice to play through my phone wired as it would make sound quality better .Included GPS antenna is not long enough to be placed on roof of car , so it will have to sit on the dash . Be prepared to hide wires . Gps app is maybe a 3/10 . best to just use CarPlay or android auto for it . And for some reason even though all setting are set to imperial the Home Screen speedometer reads in metric .Screen quality is great , big and bright. Almost too bright at night even with the brightness set to min. But it’s manageable.Overall it’s a massive improvement over factory especially for the price. But do know you’re not buying a $1000 plus Alpine or Kenwood unit . It is sub $200 linglong tablet and dash kit…And it does act like one.

Works good
Got this to upgrade the stock radio in my 2017 wrx limited with Harman Kardon. At first I thought it didn’t even have eq settings but I messed around and found it after reading the manual that it came with. Sound is 10x better than the stock head unit. The steering wheel controls needed fixed and I got that corrected also. Everything is working good and looks a lot better. For the price I am very happy with it.

I’m just a dumb blonde
If I can install it so can you lol. I’m actually experienced many years in auto body paint and refinishing so removing panels and parts I’m familiar with. And that’s what most YouTube videos focused on explaining. There were several extra bundles of wires I didn’t need and it slowed me down there but it was actually too simple. There were no instructions either but a lot of the wires were labeled. My steering wheel controls don’t work but I never used them before and I’m not sure if they ever did. I also got the back up camera because the original one is really foggy looking. I’m hoping I can just replace the camera without running the wires.tip: on my 2014 Subaru Forester, don’t overtighten the screws when mounting the AC controls let them be fairly loose so it will be able to snap in when remounting it.

Issue with Touchscreen and Capacitive Buttons
The unit's display seems to be working to a certain degree, however the touch and the capacitive buttons aren't responding at all. Tried using the USB connection with a mouse to check if the unit was lagging but this does not seem to be the case. It tries to connect to the camera when in reverse but does not display any video footage except a camera with red triangle. Resetting unit with a pin does not help nor resetting with the mouse in settings.Ultimately seems to be a failure with internal touch components. Seems to either be poorly designed or sent defective.

Love it! Works with Harmon Kardon speakers
New system works great, feels like a new car. Had it for about a week, will update in the future if I have issues. Works great now, doesn’t lag much. I have a 2015 forester with Harmon kardon speakers. The pack didn’t include a way to connect the cables so I used connectors for electric cables. To get sound out of the speakers I had to connect the amp and amp power cables together. Would recommend this! Only addition I wish it had was a SIM card reader for internet. I have to create a hotspot from my iphone to get internet to work on it.

Cool Stereo
Initially, I thought that the product that I received was not as it was advertised to be but, then I was informed that the version i got was not the version for my car. Before buying make sure that you search for the correct version because the only options I saw were "with camera" and "without camera." The seller communicated with me in order to get me the correct version and they sent them to me without any complications. The communication was great and the service was excellent. It really is a great stereo even though it wasn't the version for my car, I got it to work by alternative means and it has some cool features.
