No need to buy cables!
Very sharp image, works without a hitch in Windows 10 - just plug it in. It’s a nice touch that they give you a USB power cord and HDMI cord so you don’t need to spend more. The cords are good quality too. Glad I got it :)

NOT DRIVER-FREE AS ADVERTISED
Does NOT work driver-free in Raspberry Pi 5 as advertised!! Driver disables second HDMI port, making this display useless for me. Without drivers, it does not display right (see pic) if it displays anything at all (had to let it sit 15 minutes to get this pic). Driver does fix the display problem, so it is not faulty, just falsely advertised. Seller has not been helpful yet in getting proper HDMI timings. If I get the info I need, I will update this review and increase my rating. Otherwise, it is getting returned tomorrow.

bright.
backlight is potent. inside i had to turn it down to 30%. might be good for some bright location/outdoor uses. rather clear image. bezel is actually metal. pretty solid for a minimalist piece of tech.

Box is too small for what was shipped. Glad it didn't break or lose cables
There is no back to this, just the circuit board. I want to use this with my drones and I will need to find a case for this. Hopefully this will not be a problem. I suppose I could always make my own. Here is the nitty gritty. NOT a touch screen. Plus the webpage made this clear. Without the case there is concern about ESD damage. No On/Off switch but you can turn the back light off. For my use, not a concern. There is a Ziff Cable on the back that is also a concern. For a 7 inch screen the colors are really good. I did not see a way to adjust the colors or refresh rate, but the OEM settings are more than fine for my use. I have tried several 7 inch monitors and this is the first one that really worked as described. I liked that it came with a good HDMI cable. Not perfect, but for the price I would get others for the drones controllers with HDMI out. This works with Raspberry Pi and Windows. It also worked with my Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 controller and I am sure it will work with my Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 3M controllers.

Perfect for the PC tinkerer in your life.
Designed for a very specific purpose, but functionally works well if you are aware of what you are getting. This mini monitor is designed to be used with any of the many retro pie offerings available. It comes in an unfinished openback design that will require you to establish all connections with your retropie and purchase/design your own external casing to house the monitor safely. If that isn't a problem then the value of this monitor is rather high. Fairly priced, and suitably good quality, this monitor can function as a small primary screen or as a secondary monitor for all your retrogaming projects. For my purposes, I was interested in it as a secondary display for my Batocera retro gaming setup to display marquees and/or game information while a second screen displays the gameplay.Like with any monitor/pc setup, options are limited only to your imagination, however while it certainly is possible to use this as a primary display, my advice would instead be to incorporate it into a secondary display setup if possible to maximize the value it provides.Well worth looking into if you have the means, know-how, and desire to incorporate this into your own projects.

Clear 7” Non-touch Screen
Simple but sharp screen with brightness control on the board. Have tried with Raspberry Pi 3B+, MacBook, Lenovo and Dell Windows Laptops and even an M2 iPad Pro via a USB-C adapter and it works with all of them. Screen shot is of Raspberry PI with TS Dash. The full side HDMI is big for the board but makes it easy to connect to.
