As long as these germinate at a reasonable rate 10,000 is just fine. I plant plant them in a rocky or gravel area that won't be disturbed in December and they come up in the spring. You don't have to water them much. Once or twice a month. Don't expect a lot of blooms the first year but you will get some. Each year the plants will get better established and produce more vegetation and flowers. Put seeds in the bare areas each year and they will eventually fill in. Depending on the summer the blossoms could last longer or shorter. My three year olds blossomed fully TWICE this year - once in spring and again in summer.

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely beautiful and the bees love them. It was the first flowers we planted last year and we are super happy with the results.

These golden poppy seeds are absolutely SUPERB! I read online that poppy seeds required stratification for better and successful germination rate. So I stored in fridge for three weeks immediately after it was received. I loosen and prepared the soil prior before the rainstorm arrives in Southern California in early April, 2024. I carefully spray the seeds evenly by hand to covered the entire perimeter, then spray another very thin layer of good organic soil on top the seeds for good contact. The effort has paid off after just 13 days in ground. I read online that young juvenile poppy plants might not bloom on first year, but we will see!
