Good value and it works
Has kept my computer powered up several times after short power cuts and the occasional RCD tripping incident.

Didn't work right from the start
This was the second of these Salicru One UPS's I've had, the first being the 900-W version and the second, the 1100-W version.Unpacked what is quite a heavy unit and checked for damage.Plugged in and switched on. First bad sign was no mains power showing and the battery LED flashing plus bleeping. All the trouble-shooting stuff said it was overloaded, despite having no load plugged in.Wasted an enormous amount of time swapping mains leads, checking fuses and so on, plus all the computer time looking for manuals and support.Found no fault on the mains leads etc., so nothing to lose, opened up the case and the first thing to see was a connector floating around with chunky blue and brown leads. The other end of the leads were connected to the incoming mains socket. On one of the PCBs there was a male 2-pin connector with nothing on it in about the right place. This connector is a Molex type with polarisation and a retaining clip, similar to those on computer motherboards.Carefully plugged the leads in and fired up again. All working. This type of connector is designed to stay in place and won't normally come adrift on it's own, so either it was accidentally left off, or had a blow and fell off, or was deliberately left off for transit. APC UPSs, which this was replacing, are delivered with the battery leads disconnected, so this might be the case. I think it is unlikely as the first unit was OK, and it is also unlikely that users would be expected to take the thing apart. So it gets 1-star for tech support, one star for ease of installation and three stars for battery life as unable to judge yet.Not impressed with Salicru and maybe the quality control is poor, of to keep costs down, they are using cheap connectors and components throughout. I use a lot of genuine Molex connectors and the ones fitted aren't in the same class. A word of warning to anyone else who has to do this, make sure the front panel on/off switch is off, as on battery power, there are going to be some high voltages around. Probably worth disconnecting one of the battery leads as well (I didn't). And of course, disconnect the mains power. The APC unit blew up on me and I'm begining to wonder if buying cheap is worth it. All the other reviews are good, but theirs probably worked first time. I'm lucky to have electronics experience, but someone else could be looking at time-wasting return to Amazon.

Need power to keep gaming or working, buy this.
Bought it after a few power outages because of the freaky weather we have been having. I use it to power my PS4, a Android set top box, TV and home cinema amp. Once it had charged up I hooked it all up to a 4 socket extension block and switched it all on. Works perfectly, then I tested it by switching off the power and all the equipment kept going which will allow me to safely shut down the PS4. I'm now looking at getting one of the bigger ones for my computer, WD My Cloud, Virgin Broadband router, Monitor and printer.

Reasonable budget UPS
I've had the SPS ONE 700 version of this for about two years now, connected to a mid-range desktop PC and 21 inch LCD monitor. It's very compact and has dealt with several power cuts over that period. My machine will run for at least five minutes on the UPS, more than enough time to save everything and shut down.Since UPS batteries have a habit of failing after a couple of years, I recently decided to replace it. If you have a minimal level of technical know-how, this is very simple. The only tools you'll need are a cross-head screwdriver to remove the four screws attaching the top portion of the case to the bottom and a knife or thin-edged flat-blade screwdriver to ease open the clips attaching the front fascia to the main body on the underside. Once you have the thing apart, disconnect the two spade connectors on the old battery and remove it, put the new one in, reconnect the two connectors (paying attention to polarity, of course) and reassemble. The battery in the box was a brand I didn't recognise, so I decided to replace it with a Yuasa NP7-12 AGM S65 12V 7.0Ah (currently available on Amazon for a price that's about a quarter of this UPS) which is the same voltage and current spec as the original, and it fit perfectly. The only downside of this product is the awful monitoring software. Every time it starts, Windows 10 asks for admin permission to run it, and I couldn't figure out a way around this. In the end, I removed it from the list of start-up programmes and ran it manually occasionally to check the state of the battery. The only disadvantage of this is that the software couldn't be used to automatically shut down the PC in a power cut, but Windows 10 copes with improper shutdowns well. Everyone with any sense should have the habit of saving their open work before walking away from their machine, and the UPS software wouldn't deal with this in any case.
