Cheap quality carpet fabric
I thought this would be made of a fibrous doormat material, something rough that would capture dirt like most doormats, the photo makes it look like such. Unfortunately when it arrived I at first didn't know what I had received, as it looked just like a sample of a carpet you get from carpet stores, a rug, but less than a rug, a carpet sample. A flat soft synthetic pile similar to carpets, seamed at the edges the way carpet samples are. I then realised it was this doormat and was surprised. You could save yourself money getting a free carpet sample at a carpet store than buying this bit of carpet. It is literally a seamed bit of carpet. It is not tough fibrous doormat material. The photo gives it that fibrous or tough woven look but it's just carpet. Don't understand all the raving reviews for this. Also - as others have mentioned - the actual colour of this rug was so disappointing and completely different from the lovely colour in the photo. It is more of a darker brown, a very uncool grandad's jumper kind of brown, murky and all 70's looking. Basically in the photo this may looks cool but when you receive it looks naff both because of the carpet material, the seaming, the pattern and the murky colour that looks like it would have been a hit in the days of old when people liked brown coloured bathrooms and yellow and orange coloured living rooms.

GOOD FOR TILED FLOORS
We've used these mats for years as the kitchen floor is tiled and easily damaged if heavy items dropped onto it. The main problem is that anything hot dropped onto the mat, whether solid or liquid, tends to melt the plastic (or whatever) surface which ruins it. Normal stains by whatever means are easily removed because the material is notabsorbent. Also, the mat needs to be laid flat and not allowed to curl-up because it becomes difficult to straighten. Finally, they may be washable but the larger ones (1x1.5M) will not properly fit into the normal sized washing machine. Therefore, best way to clean is on the line outside using the garden hose!

Perfect for my flagged floor
I bought this for my kitchen a couple of years back then wondered what I had been thinking of. The green didn't go at all and it just looked bland. But finally I have a new pale sage coloured kitchen and it is ideal. I would say it's functional rather than decorative but it's perfect over my otherwise cold and uneven stone flagged kitchen floor - which needs something robust. In fact I have just ordered a second one and you can't say better than that.

Really good Dandy mats.
I've not needed to clean it yet but it's definitely good value for money. Not quite as thick as I thought it would be but that won't be a problem. This one stays put and I subsequently bought three more! They do move a little at the blink of an eye but I still like them very much and have now purchased in three lovely colours. I've still to wash any of them so I'll wait and see how that goes. Up to date, I would definitely recommend these mats. Not so good, at all, they arrived in MASSIVE cardboard boxes. Absolutely no need at all!

motorhome carpet replacement
When we bought a second hand motorhome, the original carpets were really grotty and we didn't want to use them. Fortunately we found these runners/rugs on Amazon and not only are they machine washable (handy when your dogs holiday with you) but they are the perfect width and length for the motorhome floor; as the photo shows. We bought this one and the 180cm long one. They're lovely to walk on compared to the vinyl flooring, don't move about on the floor and when we come back from a trip, they just go straight in the wash. I don't know how much it would have cost us to have bespoke carpets made for our little home on wheels but I'm so pleased with these that I haven't given it a second thought. I'm now going to buy a second set to store away for the future, just in case.*Update - Almost four years on and these runners are still looking as good as they did when we bought them. They’ve been extensively used in our motorhome and even with three dogs and people walking on them straight from muddy campsites, they are perfect. They’ve been washed in a normal domestic washing machine many times without issue. We changed out motorhome, so these are now in our kitchen as the colour didn’t go with the new vehicle interior. The first thing we did was to replace them with another set. One of our very best buys.

Attractive, well made product and very practical
I was really pleased with this mat which at 100 x 67 cms is a generous size for wider doorways or for in front of a kitchen sink. The brown colour scheme is a mid-brown rather than dark brown colour, which is very practical. The edges were carefully finished with no trailing threads. It's not so pale as to show marks easily, and not so dark as to show every scrap of fluff up easily or to make a small space look gloomy. The woven loop is soft enough to be comfortable, but doesn't shed any fibres like conventionally woven rugs, the latex backing makes it suitable for hard surfaces like vinyl or laminate. This size will fit fairly easily into a washing machine for washing at 30 degrees, followed by line drying.Very good value, well - made in the UK and a worthwhile buy.Update: Since this review was written I've washed the mat several times in my 7kg capacity washing machine. The few marks visible washed out and the mat still looks as good as new. It dried really quickly on the washing line; it didn't retain as much water as expected.

Seems Fantastic Value
Wanted an inexpensive rug to protect an expensive carpet in a high-traffic area. Having received and laid this rug, I couldn't be more impressed. The quality of manufacture is excellent and the colour is exactly as advertised. Too early to comment on durability, but at fifty quid for 1.9 by 1.3 metres, I think it will give a good account of itself. Had a much smaller version as a pet protector, and the cats weren't scared of it.

Lovely Rug
I have a wooden floor in the living room and my Husband has his computer up the corner, after a while the floor was getting scratched due to the computer chair being pulled in and out, so I decided to buy this rug to put under the computer desk and chair, have to say its really nice, very tough and very easy to clean, it also looks very nice as well
