ZillaLight & Heat Halogen Mini Dome For Reptile Terrariums One Size

Honestly, this might be one of the best purchases i've made for my Beardie so far. After having it for a few months, it still works great and I have yet to change the light bulb. It's small, great for when I travel home for the summer and have to bring is furniture with me, and the light bulbs are easy to pack too. It does get very hot! Which is wonderful for me since he has a large cage that needs to be heated up. I personally haven't tried the spring system, I have this connected to a lamp holder that also works wonders.

Replaced my mini deep dome lamp with this, and it is amazing.This was able to replace and outperform a 100w flourescent bulb set up I've been using. I was tired of going through so many bulbs every year.Been using this for 3 months, and the basking spot temp is consistent and the bulb is still going strong.

These domes are great and give off a lot of heat or light. Only returned because I had limited space where I was putting my tank and they were just slightly too big for my space.

This is a good product but has a few pros and cons. The pros are its size to output ratio, it heats far better than larger bulb setups and consumes less energy while doing it. It will maintain consistent temperatures so long as its placed properly. The cons are that it does not cone with a bulb, so add about $10 to the cost for the bulb. Also it is not very effective in a fluctuating situation such as a thermostat ( either on or off really). Solving this issue is best by adding a ceramic heat emitter but that would really be pointless. If you buy this product I suggest a misting system to maintain humidity as it will dry the air or using for a desert setup. But overall this is a wonderful product that I would absolutely suggest over your standard heat bulb setup.

I bought this for my Texas spiny lizard. He's housed in a basic 10 gallon aquarium, with a Zilla 20x10 screen cover. To save money I bought 40 watt G9 bulbs from CBconcept (10 pack, 500 lumens, 2700K). If I stick the dome on the screen cover, the temperature at the bottom of my aquarium reaches 108 degrees (11" from bulb); which is too hot. If I use the included stands, it places the dome 15" from the bottom of the aquarium and the temperature reaches 99 degrees. At that temperature my lizard still has to leave the basking spot to cool off before returning. Which is probably ok since it keeps him active.I like the dome, but I kind of wish I had purchased 25 watt bulbs so that I could have the dome resting directly on the screen cover instead of stick up 3 inches above it. I'll be getting more of these if my lizard collection grows.

This lamp is amazing. It's been 3+ years since I bought it and we still use it to this day.

I've never had a reptile heat lamp before I purchased this and I wavered a lot before deciding to purchase this one (between another Zilla product which is a larger 8" lamp with non-Halogen bulbs). I was worried this one would be too small. My ball python's terrarium is a 40-breeder. After reading a lot of reviews I went with this one; I purchased two, one for her red (night) bulb and one for her white (day) bulb. I am really pleased with them! They generate a lot of light and heat and are more energy-efficient than traditional lamps. I especially appreciate that these lamps come with the spring clips to secure them to your terrarium - I have a cat, so I appreciate that she can't knock these lamps onto the floor and start a fire. In addition, the lamps stay secure when I need to remove the terrarium lid! I included some pictures so you can see how nice they look.Just a note: if your dome lamp does not include the spring clips, you can and should return or replace it! As I said I ordered two of these and one of them didn't have the spring clips in the box, so I was able to return it and get a replacement shipped to me. The spring clips are essential for the safe use of this lamp!

This is a bit expensive for what you get. But I can't complain it is the best of the best for what you get. Just make sure you understand this does NOT include a halogen bulb, which you will need. A bit misleading I think since they don't really make that obvious when you order

So tiny, and so awesome. Shockingly tiny, like fits in the palm of my hand tiny, and I am a tiny person. The fixture gets really hot so be careful with placing anything around it, and the clamps are useful so that it doesn't fall of the tank as it would easily do because it is super light.

I like this light because it does fasten well to the enclosure cover and is pretty much the only light that does. However, it does take special bulbs which Zilly does sell on Amazon. Don't forget to order them when you order the lamp like I did.

Works great. I use it for my travel tank for my bearded dragon. I didn't realize it came with the light clip. I had purchased one separately but was happy to find one in the fixture box.

I was looking for a secondary heat source for my bearded dragon as I found the usual heat lamps didn't quite get his hot side warm enough, this little light was the perfect solution, takes up little space, includes spring hooks to secure it to the top of an enclosure, seems like its well built.Only been using it a few days, but it gets hot, and test will be to see how long the bulb lasts. Also keep in mine the bulbs are sold separately as they have different options, I got the daylight white bulb.I'll update when the bulb burns out or in 6 months whichever occurs first.

Great fixtures and save money on your power bill. I replaced all my domed lights with these.
