Express Water Residential Undersink Water Chiller Cooling System for Water Filters/Reverse Osmosis RO Systems

Bought this to replace a Chiller Daddy that had "died: after less than 2 years. Have now had this for about the same length of time , and it is still providing chilled water . Also, quiter than the Chiller Daddy.

I did not see any other reviews of just the cooler without the RO system, so this may be the first. The cooler was packed very well with 1/4" quick fittings just as advertised. It also requires aftermarket fittings to adapt 1/4 to 3/8" and then to standard faucet fittings if being used without the R/O system. It is solid metal (no plastic), installed easily, and only took about 15 minutes to cool down the first time. I have withheld 1 star just because I have not had it long enough to fully rate it. However it is replacing an Oasis brand cooler that lasted 10 years but now costs over $900 dollars! So far great value for the product.

Bought the under sink water chiller and am very pleased. For our new home build I bought a "dumb" refrigerator that doesn't even have an ice maker let alone water feature, and added a cold water only lever style faucet to the side of our kitchen sink for this instead. We can walk up to it and just press down and have cold fresh water any time. If the unit ever dies it won't be a thing stuck in our refrigerator but something we just pop and swap. Fingers crossed it lasts a long time but 2 years in it's been perfect so far.

I had previously owned an Elkay under counter chiller. It was slightly bigger and noisy. It failed, so I bought this chiller at about 1/3 the cost with the coupon. It is almost dead silent and chills colder than the Elkay unit. If you already have a line spliced into your cold supply, it comes with everything you need to install. Very happy with purchase. Time will tell if it is reliable.

I used to own an Oasis under sink water chiller. That product apparently goes bad after a year and there are many reviews about it. I ordered this unit because of the price as well as some positive reviews. It arrived on time. I installed it in less than 30 minutes because I already had the pipes from the previous chiller. I have used this only a week so far and I like its operation. The water is chilled for drinking and the cooling fan unlike what some other reviewers have said comes on only when needed and in fact is very quite. I had 1/4 inch plastic pipes in place and this unit comes with proper fitting to utilize that or you can install your own pipe. The complains I have about this is that it comes with practically no instructions and unless you are somewhat familiar with basic plumbing it will be a little hard to figure it out. Otherwise it is a nice unit and I will update this review once I use it for a while. The other complain is that there is no knob for adjusting the water temperature on the outside. There might be one if you take off the cover but I have not found the need to do so yet.
