Fantastic series
Thanks Mr. Rosenberg, this fiction seem pretty factually to me. What a great story that you have been blessed to write. This current age of man is so lost, everything is upside down. There will be no hope for them unless they come to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thx for putting your thoughts on paper and share them with us. Again thanks.

One Author's Musings on the Question of "What If?"
I've read three of Rosenberg's five novels, and of them, "The Ezekiel Option" was decidedly the best. That said, "Dead Heat" is a cataclysmic tale of what could happen in the not too distant future. My calculations are that this novel would be set in the year 2016, since in Rosenberg's fictitious United States, George W. Bush was succeeded in Washington by conservative Republican Jame MacPherson, and this story takes place in late August and early September of MacPherson's final year of his second term in office. The first two novels in the series were quite politically biased, which is why I couldn't finish either one of them. While a sort of utopia is being enjoyed in America under MacPherson's administration, oil is discovered in the Holy Land, and Israelis and Palestinians alike are prospering. In "Dead Heat," there is a great deal of anxiety that MacPherson could be succeeded by a Democrat, whose Middle East policy would surely be to "cut and run" from the War on Terror. There are places where I think Rosenberg overdoes it a bit, and places where he is wordy, has his characters making speeches, includes a little too much exposition and interjects cliches (which are a general no-no in fiction writing). Jon Bennett never misses an opportunity to try to lead an unbeliever to faith in Jesus Christ, and does so under some very unusual circumstances. He makes a huge mistake (in my opinion) of assuming that Jews who do not or cannot agree that Jesus is their Messiah are doomed to immediate hell for eternity at the moment they die. Whatever happened to God's everlasting covenant with Abraham and all of his descendents? Rosenberg's "author intrusion" makes it clear that he believes that salvation is limited only to those who are able and willing to make the "decision for Christ." As a universalist, I take the position that there are many who for legitimate reasons do not accept Christ as Savior but through His mercy are spared eternal damnation regardless. This certainly includes all the descendents of Abraham who are covered by an unbroken covenant that God made with their patriarch. All in all, this was an interesting and thought-provoking read.I have read several books on biblical prophecy, and take the subject very seriously. Whether the final days preceding Jesus's Second Coming could be as dark and tragic as Rosenberg portrays them is anyone's guess. The admonition of the Apostle Peter (1 Peter 4:7) was never more true: "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer."

Wakeup America!
This is an excellent book being well written and well thought out. Keeps the reader on the edge of their seat with every page turned. One finds the characters both real and endearing. Each draws one into their lives and the reader experiences the range of emotions along with the character in this high-energy packed thriller. More than just a good read, this book paints a chilling picture of what can all too easily occur within our great country and within our own lifetime. Having studied in depth world events and trends this reader can see all the needed alliances and current events coming together to create just such a time as what we find between the covers of this fictional, yet all too true to life book. The world is quickly spinning toward such horrific scenerios. It used to be that major world powers were held incheck by the threat of annialation from the other if they were to strike- each knew the risks to their own nation. We benefited from a type of nuclear stability that has existed for the last 50 years due to three basic suppositions: there were only 2 major players in the game, both players were in balance, and both were Rational. Now, with the emergence of rogue nations and terrorists aquiring WMD's, all bets are off. And, if during this race to become nuclear, what actual use of WMD would not escalate? The list grows of nations that would use such to their own benefit as our current adversaries are not being motivated by traditional, rational best interests, but by devout religious beliefs- how do you win or even avoid a race with someone who believes he wins the entire game if he loses? Tho this author is Not a prophet, as one who has intensely studied both world events and world religion, it is this reader's strong belief God has used this author as a warning for all to heed- be they secular or religious in their personal beliefs. Based on what has come to pass with the other books in the series,as well as Most Biblical prophecies being fulfilled during the last 50 years, this reader believes the books to be a firm warning of what is near and perhaps on our very horizon.

Dead Heat; a truly frightening read!
The fifth and final book in the series of novels (The Last Jihad, The Last of Days, The Ezekiel Option and The Copper Scroll being 1-4) brings the saga to a close; it is extremely well-written, and recaptures the sense of urgency present in "Option". The series is a much more sophisticated take on the Mid-East impasse than I had expected. It thoroughly deserves the praise it has had heaped on it. Read the series in order!

If you like action, drama
If you like action, drama, and a deeper understanding of what is happening in the world, all of Rosenberg's books are a must-read! Even corporate executives and government leaders are reading them and are amazed at how prophecy is happening in these stories anf actually happening in the world. The amazing thing is that Rosenberg's books are completed and p-ublished before these events happen!
