that the food is specific for cats with kidney disease,
My cat likes this food, and as he has kidney problems its very good for hime, its soft and obviously taste good, as he eats it all.

Great stuff - odd quantity sold
My cat who has recently been diagnostic with stage 1 kidney desease really enjoys this. It's a pate which I was dubious he would eat but during the transition period from his old food to this, he would often go for this first.Only one complaint and that's the quantity it comes in. 16 trays, 4 of which are loose. Why not just sell 18 so they are all in boxes?

My cat loves this food, my order arrived today with one box open and 2 trays gone !
The cat food is good but unhappy that one box had been opened and 2 trays gone 😬

Potatoes???
My cat tolerates Animonda renal food more than most others, but why include chunks of potato? What good does potato do for a cat? I have to remove all the little pieces of potato otherwise she baulks at them and refuses to eat the rest of the meat. I also have to remove large chunks of inedible meat and quite a few bits of gristle. I am left with about two thirds of the original little tray, but as I said, it is one of the renal foods that she will eat, so this is what I have to buy.

My cats won't eat it
I have 2 cats, I bought the beef flavour (because that was all that was in stock at the time) for my older cat who has been diagnosed with renal insufficiency. I was attracted by the pate-like texture as she's only a small cat so doesn't manage well with big chunks of meat. She has a tendency to suck the gravy off other foods so this sounded like it could be great. When I opened the trays I was surprised by the texture. Out of the tray it looks like a terrine of pate, but when I broke it up with a spoon in the cat bowl, mixed in with the meat I could see what resembled white gristly bits. I don't know if this actually was gristle or something else, but the bottom line is neither of my cats will eat it, even my younger (bigger) boy cat who eats everything, literally EVERYTHING, won't touch it. Sorry but I won't be buying again, I tried to feed it to them on a couple of occasions to see if they were just being fussy but every time they've turned their nose up at it and I now have 9 trays that will go to waste.

Cat will not eat this.
I bought potassium gluconate instead. It does the same job: Helps with renal issues. You can buy it from Chemeyes in the UK. Just sprinkle a capsule a day over their favourite food (check the dosage) and there you have it. It is a much cheaper (although all potassium costs money as it is such a healthy substance).
