I’ll admit it, I first bought this just because I liked the name, and I wanted something specifically for chicken (we eat so much chicken in this house, we’re practically running a coop). Put on plain chicken, it really ruffled my feathers… in the best possible way. You get a nice meaty, umami flavour — nothing wrong with salt and pepper, but this takes things to the hen-credible next level. Plain chicken is just fowl without it. Two ways I’ve used it: Mix it with something spicy — e.g. other A&O rubs like Buffalo Soldier or Nashville Hot. You get the lovely base flavour from this and a bit of a kick. This combo was such a hit with my 13-year-old that we named the recipe after him, so I know exactly what he’s clucking for next time. Add it to everyday cooking — I’ll fry chicken, onions, veggies, maybe tinned tomatoes… this rub is like an extra flavour layer if you’re not great at building flavour profiles. This rub is pure poultry in motion and has definitely earned its place as a staple in my A&O cupboard.

Absolutely fantastic this rub …really tasty I buy from this supplier as it’s next day .. it’s 3 days… plus postage from Angus and oink .... use on the BBQ or on the Sunday roast it’s just fab .. definitely the one to buy .. great one for the kids x

I was looking for the all chook up rub when I came across this one, it seems the other one has gone!! But this one didn't disappoint, very flavoursome, with just the right about of heat.

I deep fried a turkey for thanksgiving. I added the seasoning as it came out of the fryer, the most perfectly seasoned turkey I have ever had 🍗🦃👍👍👍

Love this on my meat but also good as a sprinkle on other bits . Kind of like a garlic, paprika , peppery kind of mix but all in the right quantities

Finally got a chance to use the seasoning, took the lid off of it, and this is what I found. The foil has been compromised, and there is mold inside the lid completely unusable.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: If I could give less then one star I would. There is a reason this product doesn’t list ingredients, IT CONTAINS MSG. Buyers beware, if your looking for a healthy seasoning that tastes good, this is not it.

I really wanted to like this and never thought of returning something like this, but it was so salty I couldn't enjoy it at all!!!!
