Great Scooter...
That is, My battery lasted a little over a year. The cheapest price I could find for a new standard replacement battery was $600! When buying a scooter, remember, the battery lasts 2 yrs. if you are lucky. Paying $600 every 1-2 years is crazy.

Exactly what I wanted
I'm going to get out of the way the things I DON'T like about this scooter first:*Battery charge indicator is not very accurate. Mine stayed on 3 bars for 2.5 days and then died within about four more hours after the indicator finally flickered down to 2 bars.*The placement of the horn on the newest models is THE ABSOLUTE WORST and I'm going to try to figure out how to disable it.But...that's it. Those are my ONLY complaints. Yeah, okay, the scooter died on me, but that was because I used it all day in Disneyland for THREE DAYS without charging it, and it only gave up the ghost on our final trek up Main St. USA for the third night. I usually expect the estimated travel distance to be about 50% inflated, but I really think I got about 35 miles out of this thing. The scooter is a dream to drive. Unlike most scooters that use a lever for the "gas," this uses a throttle on the right handlebar. I worried a bit about my wrist but never had any pain. The handling is phenomenal. I zipped through the accessible lines in California Adventure with all their varied switchbacks without any issues whatsoever. I dodged people buried in their phones who were about to walk right into me. I darted through openings in the crowd when I saw them and hoped my family could keep up.I was a bit worried about the braking system, since most scooters actually put on the brakes automatically when you ease up on the gas. However, I found that for a lot of the start-stopping of making my way through a VERY crowded Disney park, all I needed was to ease up on the gas even if I wasn't actually braking. And when I did need to brake, hoo boy - the disc brakes mean it stops on a dime. I nearly ran over two children who darted in front of my scooter, and would have if the brakes didn't work so well. The other scooters I tested didn't stop their forward momentum so easily because I didn't have a separate control for the brake. Happy to say that I have a 100% success rate at not running into anyone in the crowd, which is more than I can say for when I'm on foot. It's super easy to fold and unfold. It's not "light," but the weight is possible for me to lift in and out of my car - plus it's very well balanced and has good hand-holds for getting a good grip. Once folded, it wheels around just like a suitcase.I put a lot of time and anxiety into deciding which scooter to buy. This one was one of the more expensive ones I was considering, but I have to say it's worth every penny. It might not be right for someone who is elderly or has severe mobility issues, but if like me you're a young-ish chronically ill person trying to keep up with able-bodied friends and family, this is a great choice.(The horn position really is THE WORST though. It's between the forward/reverse switch and the speed control switch, and sticks out a little farther than both of them. It's very touchy and extremely loud and obnoxious. I accidentally beeped it many, many times.)

This is a perfect size scooter for a cruise ship
This is a perfect size scooter for a cruise ship. However, on my first outing off ship the left balance wheel fell off completely, found the wheel not the nuts; the light fell off, lost the screw and nuts; and the left rear wheel went flat. On the second outing off the ship the other balance wheel fell of, found the wheel and the nut. Tried to get tire fixed was told it a bad valve/stem and the tire, therefore, could not be repaired. The battery gave up after only six blocks and I had to push the scooter back to the ship in the pouring rain. This scooter is a $2,500.00 ripe off!

Fast.
I've used this scooter for 3 years with no problems other than the rear tires. I replaced them with solid rubber ones, no more flats. On the plus side:1) The scooter is very fast, I've clocked mine at 18mph on flat ground, which makes traveling longer distances easy.2) Large front basket.3) Folds easily.4) Lithium battery charge lasts a long time.5) Easy to maneuver in tight areas.6) Not real heavy but not light, about 50lbs with battery in place.7) Rear carry bar is nice to carry suitcases and so on but this be a problem in tight areas.Negatives:1) Front drive wheel can spin and leave markets on floors if powered too quickly.2) Because of front drive the Triaxe can have trouble climbing inclines. Front wheel can easily spin and not get traction. I've had times when going up hill and had to stop for things in the way and had trouble getting traction to go again. It's important to keep momentum up. It does help to shift weight forward on the scooter to put pressure on front wheel when going up steeper hills.3) Rear brakes can lockup and slide on steeper downhill runs. They can over heat and fade.4) No easy hand holds to use when lifting to put on a vehicle.5) Because of front drive the scooter does not handle non-paved surfaces well. On sand or dirt it will dig in and get stuck. Hard packed soil is ok but one needs to watch for changes in how loose the soil is.6) Can be tippy if turned too quickly or fast. Best to keep weight centered.Overall this is a good scooter for most uses. The front drive is not a problem most of the time on paved surfaces but not good off road. I would buy again.

Handy dandy scooter
I can handle this alone. I'm at the max 350 lb weight. It handles street handicap inclines. I've had mine for a year and a half. Makes it easy at the malls and shopping where one is not provided by the store. I love mine. It gives me a sense of security when out and about.
