I bought some of these basic first-aid kits to keep in the family's backpacks and in the car. They are small, lightweight and are well protected in their zippered cases and perfect for simple first-aid needs. They are small, but contain a very wide variety of emergency and first-aid supplies. Unless you need brain surgery out in the field, they will do just fine. We've had to use them only a couple of times (knock on wood) for minor stuff like scrapes and cuts. Because the current product description doesn't list the contents, here's what's in this first-aid kit: procedural face mask, germicidal wipe, rain poncho, emergency light stick, emergency whistle, `Call 911' banner, emergency blanket, 3 antiseptic cleansing wipes, 4 Alcohol cleansing pads, 2 antibiotic ointment packs, hand sanitizer pack, 20 adhesive bandages, 10 junior bandages, 2 knuckle bandages, 2 fingertip bandages, 2 patch bandages, 2 2"x2" gauze dressing pads, 2 4"x4" gauze dressing pads, sterile eye pad, 2 butterfly closures, 2 exam vinyl gloves, 5 yd roll first-aid tape, moleskin square, finger splint, Red Cross first-aid card. Pretty complete for a small package! These are good insurance for the little things that can happen on a hike or camping trip. Prices vary tremendously so you may want to shop around.

It's a great little first aid kit for a car all it needed was some Tylenol and allergy meds thrown in with it for a perfect glove box fit.

Since I am on a blood thinner a friend insisted I purchase and carry a kit like this just in case I have an accident and get bruised. Has everything for an emergency. Don't need to add anything.
