I’ve finally found the holy grail for my hair—Highland Glacial Clay Hair Cream! This product is a game-changer for anyone with fine hair like mine. Not only does it maintain the perfect shape and style throughout the day, but it also does so without the heavy, greasy look that other creams tend to leave behind. The matte finish and light control are exactly what I need for a natural, understated style that still looks sharp and well-groomed. What truly sets this hair cream apart is its multifunctionality. It’s not just for styling; it doubles as a dry shampoo, keeping my hair looking fresh and lush between washes. The all-natural formula, which includes 15 sustainably sourced ingredients, really seems to nourish my hair and scalp, leaving my hair softer than ever. The commitment to sustainability is also a huge plus for me. The 100% recyclable aluminum packaging aligns perfectly with my values, and knowing that this product is designed in Boulder and produced in Los Angeles adds that extra touch of trust in its quality and origins. Whether I’m styling fresh curls or going for a slicked-back look, this cream works wonders without any fuss. It’s designed for all hair types and textures but truly shines for those of us with medium to long hair aiming for a ‘loose, natural look.’ Highland Glacial Clay Hair Cream is not just a styling product; it’s an essential part of my daily grooming routine that promotes healthier hair and scalp. Hair happiness is indeed guaranteed, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. If you’re on the fence about trying a new hair product, let this be the one that changes your mind!

When people think about hair products, they usually put them on a binary scale: either it holds your hair in place or it leaves it shiny and bouncy. That’s because most products are marketed as either moisturizers or holding products. What a lot of people don’t realize is that there’s a whole matrix of products out there that do a million different things depending on the look you’re going for. If you’re like me and treat hair care as a hobby and part of your grooming routine, you might fall in love with glacial cream like I did. I have a medium-short haircut and wanted something that left my hair soft and malleable that tamed frizz and flyaways while smoothing and conditioning. Most people reach for Moroccan or argan oil when they want a smoothing cream, but they can leave hair greasy and limp. This doesn’t do that. It gives volume, texture, and body while still keeping hair smooth and manageable. It’s not a holding gel, and it’s not advertised as one. Too many people use it like it’s supposed to be a standalone holding product and then wonder why their hair feels dirty and bogged down. It’s designed to stand alone as a smoothing product for shake and go haircuts, or to layer with holding products. And, unlike a lot of silicone or oil based products, this one has amazing washability. It doesn’t take any extra effort in your shampoo routine to get it out. A tube lasts me about four months, which is a solid value for the size of the tube you get. You don’t need to use much for it to do the job. It’s also unscented, which makes it easy to slot into any beauty routine. Again, this isn’t a standalone holding gel. It’s a smoothing and conditioning clay, and if your hair type benefits from that kind of control, it’s fantastic.

Second Time Buying — Clean & Stylish This is my second time purchasing this product and it continues to deliver. The texture is clean, easy to work with, and gives a very natural, stylish finish without feeling heavy or greasy. Packaging looks great and feels premium. Overall, a solid everyday styling product that does exactly what it promises. I’ll definitely keep this in my rotation!

Really love what this product does for my hair. I have lots of fine hair with some of it curly, some wavy, some straight. I often wear it up in a messy bun and this product smooths frizz while also adding some texture so my updos hold. I also don’t find that it makes my hair dirty too quickly (as long as I don’t use too much). I am taking a star off for the container. The product is stiff so you must use the tube key to get the product out. With the product being so stiff, sometimes you really need to put some oomph behind turning it and turn it more than you desire and more product dispenses than you need. This is frustrating because you can’t put it back in the tube. I assume it’s in a tube to differentiate it from the pomade product this company sells, but I’m begging them to put it in a tin as well. I want to be able to control how much of the product I’m dispensing and not waste any. Please!

For reference: male, hair about 6” in length, medium to thick, wavy. Maybe the changed the cap tip because it works well to get the seal punctured now. The included key is a nice update. If you want the product to apply evenly and easily in wet hair (I would not recommend adding to dry hair, personally), you really need to rub your hands together vigorously to break it down. Then you can gently begin patting/rubbing it onto your hair before working it in with your fingers. It honestly isn’t hard to apply and the last thing I want to do when adding product to my hair is rub and tug on my hair fast and hard anyway. Yes, it could go in easier but it’s fine as is. If you hair is longer, add a few drops of water to your hand to get things looser. Scent: smells kind of waxy to me. I can pick up some light herbal and woody smell, but it’s subtle. It won’t interfere with any perfume you’re wearing. Texture: the product itself is more like a paste than a cream. You could say it’s a bit coarse, but once to work it into your hands, it feels similar to many light hold products. Performance: for solidly short hair, I think I’d take this over their pomade (which I haven’t tried). You’ll wind up with a natural finish and enough hold to keep your hair looking good all day. This cream adds just a bit of texture. For more definition and texture, you need to use a lot. That can be painful in your wallet, considering the price. If you’re looking for volume, this will help. It does control frizz pretty well but it isn’t perfect. As for hydration, I think your day to day approach to shampooing and conditioning your hair is more important. This product helps, but if you’re stripping your hair of its natural oils by using shampoo daily (especially harsh shampoo), you’re not going to get the desired effect. Value: my hair is about 6”. I’d say it takes two large pea sized amounts to achieve my styling goals, which means this tube should last as least 6 weeks with daily use. At $30 per tube, it neither amazing nor terrible. That said, if you subscribe on Highland’s website, you get free shipping and 20% off. That helps keep your spend more sane. I’ve become a repeat customer. I like the product and dig the company’s goals. It’s worth a try!
