This light is absolutely fantastic. It’s bright enough to add an edge in most interiors and is easy to setup and rig because of its small form factor. Run time on battery is great and really lets the function as a great run and gun option. It’s the convenience and functionality of a tube but in a point source form factor.

Punches well above its weight and very versatile to use in almost all situations. I mostly use it with a fresnel as a hair light or a spotlight attachment to cast shadows to a scene.

I had been looking for a small LED light that I could use indoors or outdoors, considering I live in the Pacific Northwest and often encounter drizzly conditions. I also wanted a light that works within the Aputure ecosystem. After comparing this to the Nanlite Forza 60C, I decided on the Aputure 80C because it is more rugged and offers more accessories. The light is small and feels dense for its size. However, it is pretty bright, and I appreciate the ability to fine-tune the output and the fantastic color when shooting with "white" light. The BLAIR-CG light (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red/Cyan/Green) does make a difference in skin tones. It's a minor thing, but I appreciate the Vmount built into the yolk of the light. I hope Aputure comes out with a light between the 80c and the 1000c, as I will buy it if they do. Don't hesitate to purchase this light if you want something small, excellent quality, rugged, color-accurate, and bright for the size.

Honestly, I didn’t expect this light to pack such a punch. The Storm 80c is super compact, but it delivers big-time clean output, great color, and so versatile. I’ve used it in a few setups now, and it keeps impressing me. Definitely one of those lights you end up reaching for way more than you thought you would.

This light operates wonderfully and does everything as advertised.

Blown away by another win from Aputure. It's my new favorite light (and I'm an Aputure fanboy). I'm looking forward to the introduction of the spotlight mount and other attachments. Highly recommend the fresnel and barn doors.

When it comes to the quality of this light, it has surpassed what I was expecting to get. The whole thing is nothing like the light that I am used to working with, this ones is so much better!!! When it comes to changing the color and adjusting it, this thing is so much easier to work with. The adjustments in the back are so easy to use that getting just the right color, brightness and hue that we want or trying to get is easily obtainable thanks to this light. While we did have some water splash on this, I immediately ran over to check to make sure that everything was still working, and it was!! We have several different covers that we were even able to use with this light but do like that it came with one as well. The bonus is that it came with a storage case which makes it so much easier to store away when we are not using it. Fits on our stand too.

Really love this light, the accuracy of color is amazing. Ran into a small problem with the light and photolink and aputure customer service were super helpful in getting everything resolved! Super recommend.
