Very Stylish
Really love this! Very Stylish book display stand which although could be great for recipe books in the kitchen etc for me tis perfect as an actual display piece with a lovely art book opened on it. Really lovely minimalist modern design that will work work well with mid-century or art-deco themed rooms especially, Great quality and finish and looks great so would recommend as super happy with it.

Awful design
I’m very disappointed in this product. I wanted to display an open book from a few antiquarian books in my study. I needed an open book stand that was adjustable and provided support for the delicate spine of the books. Such stands exist and are widely used in libraries holding special collections.Unfortunately, this book stand is not fit for purpose. It is not possible to adjust the angle at which the book is opened. A delicate book’s binding can be damaged if it is opened too widely, and equally, there is little point in displaying an open book if it is not opened widely enough. It’s a compromise between the best way to view the book and avoiding damage to the book. In addition, this ‘V’ shaped stand provides no support for the spine which occupies the bottom of the V.Added to this, the stand is made of two pieces of what appeared to be black MDF. As well as being poor quality, it shows finger marks. And once the stand is assembled, it’s virtually impossible to take it apart due to the friction between the two pieces of MDF. The unit is not particularly robust because it is only this friction which keeps it together - there are no screws or nails to keep it in one piece. At around £20 at the time of review, whilst not a lot of money, you’re buying two pieces of MDF worth perhaps £2.So, an unavoidable 1 star.
