The flies check in... but then they check right out
This is such a neat idea for a fly trap, and I really like that it doesn't rely on foul smelling bait like most traps. It's small and quiet, and actually pretty effective at getting flies into the containment area (though you might need to try a few different baits to see what the local flies find appealing.)However, the flies can escape with hysterical ease. A quick buzz brings them back to the top level, and then they literally walk out. They barely seem inconvenienced! In fact, I awarded this product 2 stars instead of 1 in part because watching flies get trapped and escape added a lot of comedic entertainment to our evening. Still, this product fails abysmally at the goal of trapping flies. Also, the plastic ridges which allow the trap to work are difficult to clean.Although I love the idea, I cannot recommend this product.

Doesn't attract the flies and they can escape
It seems like a good idea. But, the flies just aren't attracted to the trap and the two that were got out somehow. I put honey water on the reservoirs. About an hour later, one fly got caught. About two hours later a second was caught. We left it running, hoping that it would attract some more, but this morning, the two flies that had been caught were no longer in the trap. Rather useless if the few flies that got caught can escape.

Works for me!
Catches flies. For whatever reason, mine don't escape. I put a little honey in the bottom compartment, so when the flies go down there they tend to get stuck. Still, I also have essentially the same fly trap, sold by someone else under a slightly different name, that is powered by a rechargeable, solar powered battery. I recommend that one since it is much easier to place anywhere and you don't have to bother with a cord or outlet.

WORTHLESS!!! Do not buy!
I hate flys!! Due to my window unit not sealed in correctly, a lot get into my bedroom. I bought this with hopes of catching these flys. I set it up before work. Within 15 minutes I caught a fly. But before I left for work (four hours later) I had not caught another one. I went to work and worked a 12 hour shift. When I got home not only did I did not catch another flight, the one fly that I had caught had got out of the trap. This is a worthless piece of junk.

Dont waste your money
Never caught anything and followed the instructions by using honey water in the five slots. By day 3 it stopped rotating. Also doesn't come with instructions so you have to zoom in on your phone or laptop on the amazon product page.

Worked but got broken due to fragile part
This device is great because it traps flies without killing them. It was quite successful in our house using a mix of water and agave nectar. Unfortunately, one of our kids stopped the top plate from moving by hand, and the point of contact for the top plate snapped. We will try to glue it, and if it doesn't work, we'll buy another whole device. It would be great if the top plate alone could be replaced.

Devours flies like a hungry beast
Oh man this was a life saver. We got it in the hope that would help with the flies at the Calamari Booth at the Saint Katherine Greek Food Festival in Elk Grove (always the last weekend of September) A little plug there. It consumed soo many flies it was incredible. We had no problems even though the booth was outdoors.I tried different baits from sweets like jam, to meat juice but the best fish juice from the calamari. If you visit our boot later this year you'll note that we have no flies! See you if you in the area. :-)

Disappointed upon use
A good product or at least idea I was hoping I could give this five stars, I really wanted this to work but ultimately the motor makes so much noise that the flies just don’t land on it no matter what kind of bait I use. Maybe if you buy enough of them you can weed out the bad ones.
