This stuff works. Helps me stay asleep consistently without morning grogginess.

For reasons I won't say, in late 2024 I could no longer sleep through the night. I didn't want Rx meds or anything habit-forming. Unisom has been very effective! Instead of waking up around 3am with difficulty going back to sleep, I sleep through till my alarm whenever I take Unisom. Taken early enough the previous evening, I don't experience morning drowsiness. I'd highly recommend it.

Unisom worked well for easing carsickness, though it didn’t put me to sleep. However, it did make me extremely drowsy, which helped with the discomfort. It’s a good option for travel if you don’t mind the drowsiness!

I started using unisom when I was pregnant with my first child and had a very hard time sleeping. I still have them on hand on nights when I really need to rest. The effect quicks in quick and no drowsy feeling the next morning!

I suffer from chronic insomnia and have done for a long time. I have had sleep studies and do not have sleep apnea. Doctors do not like to prescribe sleeping medication for long periods of time, mainly because of the problem of becoming addicted and dependant on them, and also the body becomes used to the drug and they become less effective. I was advised to try OTC products like Benadryl or Unisom, which are actually older-class antihistamines (used for allergies, mostly). These drugs have a side effect of inducing sleepiness.I have tried Benadryl, and for who-knows-what reasons, it just didn't work. I could take 4 of them (100mg) and still be wide awake. So - next up: Unisom. I went for the Brand name, rather than a generic, although they are meant to be identical. Unfortunately, for ME and my brain and system, the Unisom was only partially effective. Again, I can take 4 of these pills, and certainly NOT be rendered a sleep-craving zombie. Not even close. I will say they do make me slightly drowsy, and I think they do help me fall asleep just a little bit faster, although I am taking them with Ambien, so I'm not sure. (I'm a nurse, and my doctor knows about my using these so I am not taking these "'willy-nilly").My husband took a single dose, and within a half hour he complained of feeling very tired and sleepy, and was soon sleeping deeply. So I know they do work! The tablets are super bitter, just FYI. I think this is a good thing in that it sure would disuade a young child or pet from chewing on them, although hopefully they could not get hold of these in the first place!I think these are a good option for helping kick-start sleep in most people, but sadly, it seems I am not in that category :(Luckily my hubby is. As a side note, they sure did dry up my stuffy nose! So the antihistamine properties worked well. Trial and error for sleep. A small tablet and easy to swallow.

Great product- Am a mild insomniac and these are pretty reliable and effective. Usually work within 30 minutes. In my opinion, better than taking benadryl and don't have that drowsy feeling in the morning. Worth it.
