very good book I bought a previous one on simple sugar craft flowers simple it wasn'tthe thing is the tudors etc could make sugar craft flowers but for the complex sprays etcthey sprinkled the lot in sugar and set it near a warm fire layer on layer or one could dipor paint on melted sugar so many of these traditional ideas are not really that traditionalthis is a good book though esp with all the very inexpensive moulds available from china

Nicholas lodge wrote this book years ago, and being as I have just taken up sugarcraft I thought I would buy it, it is not dissapointing . I found it to be very informative and the bonus is that you get quite a few templates inside, I made a little church from one. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to improve there skills.

I already have this book but wanted another copy. I am a lecturer and teach pastillage as part of a cake decorating unit. As the information in the book is so good I wanted a copy for home and a copy to use at college for my students use. I would recommend to anyone that is interested in this subject.

Not overly impressed think there are other books that show it better but if you’ve not touched on pastillage it’s probably a useful little book

this book is well written with easy to follow instruction. great variety of projects. ideal for the beginner (like me) and for the more advanced sugar crafter. great value with plenty of inspiration. If i had one criticism it would be that it left me wanting more.

Excellent book

If you love playing with gumpaste and pastillage, you will find this book a wonderful resource.I love this book because of the section on bas relief (projects include a clown, a prairie girl and several others). But he also offers how to do butterflies, hedgehogs, and many other cute ideas in modeling.

I am such a Nicolas Lodge fan. His work is just beautiful and he makes it look so easy
