Excellent protection for expensive gear
Going with the large version structurally it has a rigid plate in the bottom then stiff fabric with thick padding for the rest. That is how they got it to weigh only 2.64 lbs. It comes compressed so setup the internal dividers with your gear and it shapes up nicely with great protection. It is waterproof but of course not protecting your gear if submerged. I comes with an additional rain cover covering the backpack which could be handy worse case if you are going to Antarctica in a blizzard or a desert in dust storm. The lightning logo is on the rain cover not the backpack so using it just reverse it if you don't want to attract attention.Per design I have traditional rectangular top opening camera bags and for major photography events suitcases on wheels. This adds so much more gear with the same size designed for 2024 photography using DSLRs, lenses, laptops, iPads, iPhones, drones and accessories easily changed as desired. It will easily fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane if you can get past the security checks. The Anti-theft description is PR spin. To me it suggests someone steals your backpack they will not get to your gear. No, they are simply pockets that don't seem to be pockets with hidden zippers. One is next to your back so whatever you put into it you will feel it.It has smaller features like a snap-lock keychain with your Apple Airtag if desired. Overall a very impressive design dedicated to specific photography assignments and changed in minutes for the next one. You decide.
