Easy to hang, easy to assemble

This power tool organizer is designed almost perfectly. The added power strip was a great idea.

Ease of assembly: 4 of 5; Quality: 5 of 5.Impressed by the high quality component parts and the very nice paint finishes. No burrs, dings or flaws. Parts are super clean – no worries about manufacturing oils or debris. Screws are also best quality and self-threading with absolutely no issues regarding aligning screws holes or parts.Assembly is fairly simple and somewhat intuitive given there are relatively few parts. However, the assembly instructions are lacking. It took some very close inspection of the instructions to differentiate between shelves “C” and “D.” The inventory packing list illustrates C and D as identical, whereas Step 2 of the assembly instructions shows D with the tiny holes. “Holes” are referenced in the text, but it is unclear what holes are discussed, because there are many holes all over the place.Finally, tab installation should either be modified or have more detailed instructions. The issue is that once the tab slot is placed onto the tab it becomes impossible to locate the strip behind the shelf flange. The solution requires you either push down the tool support “E” or push up the shelf “D.” Then you’re able to tuck the strip in the correct position. And, if you’re not careful, you will kink the strip metal at the tab location and crack the paint.It might also be worth noting that the two mounting holes are 20 inches apart, so not compatible with standard stud placement of 16 or 24 inches.All relatively minor issues for a generally excellent product.

I am not sure if it was just mine but I never received any hardware or installation instructions with this product. It is sad because I would have probably left a 4 or 5 star review otherwise. The shelf design and materials themselves were really nice. But a product with no means to assemble or instructions on how it should be is not a complete product.

I had low expectations after ordering this item, but I was wrong. All of the pieces are very well machined and assembled, and the coating over the metal feels great to the touch and is well applied. It’s a handsome piece and has organized my tools well. I was able to drill it into my wall with heavy duty anchors and it’s been a pleasure to finally have a place to hang my cordless drills.

I ordered this to hold my horde of Dewalt power tools and they all slot into the rails on this rack nicely. The shelves are solid metal and are well-coated to avoid rusting since this will live in my unconditioned garage. The power strip works well though the outlets are placed pretty close together, which isn’t great if you have any plugs that are power bricks. The cord could also be longer since most garages don’t exactly have a ton of power outlets in them. I also started installing a few of the shelves upside down because it wasn’t clear from the instructions which direction they needed to go, leading me to have to take it apart and put it together again. Even with the mix-up it only took about 10-15 minutes to put together, and mounting was easy with the included hardware, which is all sturdy. I’ve placed drawer liners on each shelf to protect the metal from scratches from batteries and tools, which I would recommend to anyone buying this to do the same. I have yet to load any tools in the holders on the side of the box since most of those types of tools are kept in my rolling drawers, but it’s a nice feature that this comes with the ability to hold things there.Overall, this is a very solid tool shelf and charging hub, and I’m happy to have a centralized place to store all my power tools for easy accessibility.

Parts C and D are nearly identical and none of the parts are marked. The illustrations are not terrible but could be much better at describing what piece is what and how to tell them apart. Or just put removable labels on the pieces. Even with those minor flaws this is not difficult to put together.As you can see in one of my photos one of the vertical supports was missing. Everything else was included and the finish is good.
