LAVASignature Cast-Iron Frying /Grill Pan with Iron handles- 12 inch, Slate Black

This Lava Signature cast-iron Frying/Grill pan was above my expectations. I love the finish that is on it... it is different than the enameled cast iron, it is a tough finish....it cooks great....easy to clean-up, and it has become my favorite grill pan ,the only thing that I would like to have with it is a lid....and I do have ones that I can use....but seems like the lids that come with a pan just fit a little better It is a multi-purpose pan!.http://www.amazon.com/Lava-Signature-Cast-Iron-Frying-handles/dp/B00FQ9BOSM?ie=UTF8&redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0

I have primarily been using this for making tortillas (I make them ALL the time) and this is hands down the best pan I've ever used for that purpose. It has a BIG, flat cooking surface and (used on the appropriate heat setting), I've had no issues whatsoever with sticking to the coating (it's a matte enamel). I also don't need to grease the pan either.

A bit larger than expected. Not sure if it's got a ceramic coating or not, but it's good cast iron and hasn't rusted.

I'll be using this one as a no fuss chefs pan. If it's anything like my Lava grill pan, it'll last my lifetime.

Arrived nicely packaged and brand new. Now I just have to learn how to cook with it.

Product picture and measurements make it appear that it is oval. Unfortunately, product is round. Quality was reasonable but not what I was looking for.

We’ve thrown away our Teflon pans and use these instead. While not as convenient it’s been proven Teflon is harmful and leeches out even at medium temperatures.
