This product is referred to as an ampoule which implies a heavier concentration or ability or power in some way than just "regular" serum. But I can't tell how that manifests itself. The main ingredient per the product name is the "Vita C", but this is ascorbyl palmitate, not the far more potent L-ascorbic acid that is used in many other high strength products. The rice extract is notable, but niacinamide being nearer the top of the ingredient list is quite likely doing the heavy lifting. I don't see it anywhere on the box but the listing is touting "85% lemon water" for some reason. I don't know what that's supposed to even mean.Anyway, so far in using this ampoule, I've had good results. It has a thickened consistency but it feels nice and fresh, absorbing well. I've used it immediately after cleansing or on top of essence/toner, and it does very well. Spot creams and moisturizers likewise do well on top of it.I think the price is slightly above average for a product with this ingredient list. But it’s a fair buy if you like the CLIV brand experience and want reliable gentle hydration with subtle brightening.

Great product but watch out for sun exposure after use
The media could not be loaded. First of all, I love the design of this bottle, it has a luxurious feel to it. The ampoule is stored in a glass bottle with gold letters and cap. It is topped with a rubber ball for the dropper inside. The ampoule itself has a fairly thick consistency, not too thick, but is certainly not thin. It spreads easily and is a little tacky in the beginning. If you put on a very thin layer of product, it as quickly absorbed by the skin. But if you're like me, who tends to be generous with skin product application, it will take a little longer for the tackiness to dry up. The ampoule has a very faint scent, kind of perfumey but it's almost imperceptible. As for the ingredients (see pic), water is listed as the first. It doesn't say lemon water, but I trust that's what it is because the product claims to have 85% lemon water. I looked up the other top ingredients and they are all moisturizing humectants. I noticed that niacinamide is listed as the 6th most abundant ingredient. Imo that's a big deal because when a product boasts of a key ingredient, I need to know there's an abundance of it. In this case, that is true. I didn't look up all the ingredients but I randomly looked up a few and they are good - I really don't have any issues with them. And since this product is made in Korea, I tend to trust it more than if it were manufactured elsewhere (my personal bias).Just a quick note about the use of lemon in face products. Lemon juice is well known for its ability to brighten up the face. As this ampoule contains lemon water, be aware that lemon is photosensitive meaning your skin can react to it from direct sun exposure, which can cause redness and swelling. Better to use this at night, or if you use it under your makeup, use less of it than you would at night, and avoid direct sun exposure after use. I haven't used this product long enough to say that it has brightened my face. But I do trust the ingredients. So I will update this review in about 6 - 8 weeks. Oh, one final thing: not a bad price for a luxurious ampoule.

Proprietary Vitamin C And Oryza Sativa Formulation
I've been concentrating so much on protecting my skin with sunscreen that I've forgotten one of my very basic and necessary skin care ingredients which is vitamin C. CLIV Vitamin C Brightening Ampulecontains its own patented vitamin C formulation. It feels invigorating and refreshing. Of course, it will take a bit of time to notice if there is any brightening of my skin tone or under-eye area - as it suggests (although, I don't feel comfortable putting a vitamin C product close to my under-eye area unless it has been ophthalmologist-tested).Regardless, vitamin C is an extremely important ingredient for my good skin health. I can easily use this day or night because it's a lightweight formulation and absorbs quickly (it has a gel-like appearance, but instantly liquefies). I'm glad I'm incorporating it into my routine and if I wish to add a moisturizer/sunscreen on top, it doesn't pill. I can also wear a full face of makeup while still taking care of my skin.

Lemon Water for Your Face (But Like, the Fancy Kind)
This serum feels like what a spa would serve if they handed out skincare instead of cucumber water. It’s light, goes on smooth, and actually makes my face look a little more awake—like I drank water today and got eight hours of sleep (plot twist: I didn’t). The lemon water thing had me a little skeptical—like am I putting salad dressing on my face?—but it turns out 85% lemon water doesn’t smell like lemonade or burn like regret. Just a gentle, fresh feeling that fades into nothing, which I can work with.It absorbs pretty quickly and doesn’t feel too sticky unless you go full heavy-handed, which I may or may not have done at first. The dropper works well, the bottle looks fancy enough to leave on the counter, and I haven’t broken out or turned blotchy, which is always a win in my book. Can’t say my face is glowing like a lightbulb just yet, but it’s definitely brighter than my Monday mornings. Solid five stars from me.

Vitamin Ampoule
This is a brightening facial serum made in Korea with quality ingredients. I use a few other CLIV products and I love this one as much as I love those. This is a thick milky serum in a lovely glass bottle. It dispenses easily and absorbs quickly. It does not irritate my skin and it does not leave any weird residue behind. My face will feel a little sticky a few minutes after applying but it goes away as the product gets absorbed. I love how this makes my skin look and feel so I will continue to use it and wait to see more brightening effect over time. This is a very nice skin treatment.
