Brilliant for Asthma Or COPD
There are 2 variations of this peakflow meter the standard one and the one which I purchased is the downloadable version which is ideal when dealing with medical profession because you can print off the results and if they disagree with what you tell them verbalythen you can show then written proof of your results. It is one of the most helpful GADGET that I have and the medics do not like to be proved wrong, but you can with this. And you can claim back the VAT if you qualify which asthma or COPD sufferers qualify.

Very old discontinued device
Where do you start with this? Well it comes with a dead battery inside, its old, very old technology that ceased being manufactured years ago.The software? forget about it. This was made for windows xp so, if your hoping to use it on todays modern machines with windows 10 or 11 your going to get absolutely no where. It is pointless and daft to think such old software could run today. An asthma specialist who has tested these devices said that the readings were so terribly low that they simply can not be trusted or used. Her advise? Don't use it.Now we come to the seller. They admit to the dead battery being inside the units (perhaps I should mention these button batteries have a shelf life of ten years).Despite knowing how old these devices actually are and that the software is for a much, much older operating system, they want you to buy them as though they are fresh from the factory with proud boasts about how great others think they are.The seller knows how very old these units are, they know that the software is practically antique in technology terms. But once you purchase one don't think they will support you if your one is defective. The point of this review is very simple. If you are a collector of medical antiques, this would be perfect for you. If, on the other hand, you want something that actually works then I am sorry its not for you. And the perfect bit of advice I can give is to search Amazon again, find something more practical, something that works.
