10/10, My Scene dolls are back! (Barbie review)
The media could not be loaded. 10/10, these dolls are the best. The My Scene dolls are back! I review all three dolls separately (Chelsea, Barbie and Madison) — this is the review for Barbie.Overall: are they like the original My Scene dolls? Yes. Their faces, body, and hair are the same as the classic My Scene dolls and so is their quality. All My Scene doll have always been collector Barbie quality in my opinion, so I’m glad the quality is great on these as well. The hair has a nice feel, the soft tone makeup is great, and the details on the clothes, shoes and fabric purses is top notch. My Scene BarbieMy Scene Barbie comes with:- A faux leather jacket. You can see that it looks so realistic, with pretend zip and buttons. This is one of the best Barbie jackets Mattel has ever made in my opinion.- A cool top, in line with the 2000s.- The best pants Mattel has ever made in my opinion. They’re leather-effect and the color is perfect for these pants.- A belt that is fully adjustable, meaning it can be styled at whatever height you want.- A fabric purse in faux-leather effect. This can be filled up and it closes with a button, just like the collector Barbie purses. This elevates the product.- A red hat. It’s a good size and doesn’t fall off even after the plastic hooks are removed.- My Scene sunglasses.- A cute necklace and earrings- My Scene shoes, which are painted in great detail. It’s not just a block color.- Doll stand (the black Barbie doll stand that clips at the waist)I was particularly impressed with her hair. Under the hat, she has one strand of hair that's pulled back in a cute way.I like that these dolls have the original My Scene bodies, with the slightly bendy click knee (not jointed). For anyone who is unfamiliar with them, these are the classic 2000s Barbie bodies, so they have regular Barbie feet under the big My Scene shoes (meaning there are Barbie shoes out there that will fit if you prefer Barbie shoes to My Scene shoes) and the clothes are just like Barbie clothes. It would be great to see many more of them, also Nolee and Delancey, and the My Scene pets and fashion packs because the overall quality is impressive. Mattel, please bring back more!

Beautifully nostalgic, but expensive!
Firstly, she is a beautiful doll, the screening of her face is perfect, it looks exactly the same as the original doll, much better than the reproductions of Bratz. The details in her clothes are great, much better than modern barbies with a similar quality as the original releases. The bag is copy of the first wave doll's, however it appears all the bags in this collection are fabric instead of the original plastic versions, which is a little disappointing for me, as I personally loved their original plastic bags, but I understand if that could not be included and respect they got the design perfect. Her legs are a slightly different colour to her feet/shoes but it is not hugely obvious. I also can't say if she is has snap-and-lock legs as I have not removed her from the box so that will be a mystery for me. She comes with a stand but no hair brush. The box design is poor and probably my least favourite thing, it's very boring and the background looks like it was designed in 98 MS paint. I love that they designed a new outfit, it's beautiful, fashionable and prefer it rather then a straight reproduction. As a huge My Scene fan I am glad to see Barbie in her iconic cherry red rather than pink like they did later on. Her hair is partly crimped but mostly straight. Is it worth the amount asked for it? No second outfit, no brush, poor box design. No, it's not, I think if they had added more, maybe, but there is still the quality that I would expect from fashion dolls that has been lacking from barbie in recent years. I would say almost a full success of a collector's doll (they say age 6 and above but I would expect very few children will be getting this doll) if they had just made a better box and added a few more accessories, or it was £15/£20 less then the asking £55.99, it would be worth the money. I think the others would be beautiful to have too, but harder to collect all as one is expensive enough as it is.
