These are great. They slip on over your shoes or boots, they stay put, and the spikes really dig into the ice. They fit very nicely over my size 11 shoes. If you live in the snow country, you need these.

Worked great today using them for the first time. We started a short and relatively easy 3.5 mile hike and within 200 years of the trail head we saw it was very icy. We threw the micro spikes over our boots, they went on easy and we hiked for over 3 miles. The spikes held their position on our boots great, and we quickly had confidence that their grip would not allow for any slipping regardless of position, incline, surface, etc. They were surprisingly comfortable to hike in, even over a trail with lots of rocks and roots. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the Velcro straps kind of felt like cheaper quality that did not hold very well, as one came undone fairly quickly, although once I re-strapped it a second time it held the rest of the hike. If I could, I would rate them 4.5 stars.

I use these without the strap for size 12 Redwing Dynaforce 8" boots. I wear them ten hours a day. On straight up purse ice walking up or down hill they are awsome. Or Iced over roads,and I mean it's like glass nothing but ice in the northern winter. Walking on pavement? Yeah gives me a little back pain but that comes with the territory, I weigh 200lbs and should probably just take them off but don't cause my job requires me to wear ice cleats, the teth haven't bent after about 200 hours of walking on pure ice or solid pavement. Highly recommend. They grab straight ice like it's nothing. But caution on smooth surfaces like the floor of a gas station on your way to work if your not careful slipping could be easy, but ice? Not a chance.

Happy with my purchase these things really work serious ice only though they have some pretty aggressive spikes. They will save you from slipping and falling on the ice, is it on pretty easily and give you very aggressive grip boots these days just don't do it alone.
