Nice knife , it’s sharp

Nice knife. Very slim and sharp. Well made!

I own these knives and have posted the same review for both of them. Four stars for SZCO; five for the Schrade. These are cheaply made knives so don't expect them to be Ka-Bar, Kershaw or Morakniv quality. They're designed for their price point. Both knives are very sharp right out of the box. The Schrade is immediately noticeably heavier. The blades are substantially different: the Schrade is wider and a bit thicker with a more substantial drop point. The SZCO has more of a pin point on its blade and is noticeably narrower. Rivets and their applications are similarly placed but attention to detail goes to the Schrade model: rivets are more robust, less crude and placed more accurately. Rivets on both knives have edges that will snag. The cam spring lock is more stable on the Schrade and the knife opens much more smoothly. The SZCO knife cam mechanism is very stiff even with lubrication These are both very cheap knives not designed for a lot of abuse.. Not sure which is the knock-off but it does seem that the SZCO is a high-production copy of the Schrade. Both will do their intended job. The nylon sheath is a nice addition to the SZCO but should not be a deal breaker. Neither knife is very high quality construction but the Schrade is a far better knife for an additional three bucks. I don't intend to sample fruit with these. Cleanly removing the colon from a deer during field dressing is always awkward even with a Butt Out tool. These knives will reach further into the animal to sever most sinew so that the entire digestive system can be removed from inside the animal without feces spillage or having to tie anything off.

I work in a mailroom and I need heavy duty industrial strength letter openers that are ACTUALLY sharp. These Fruit Knives work better than ANY hand-held letter openers and I've tried them all. Don't fall for titanium letter-openers, they're expensive only to have the same identical dull-edge as everything else. These are the way to go.

The size is perfect for cutting fruit.

Simple and functional, no lock, long blade. Pins stick out a bit far, but not a big deal.
