iPATROL Interactive Laser Toy & Dog Camera, Alexa Enabled Treat Dispenser with Thermometer Alarm & Cloud Recording, Through The APP. (Second Generation)

Just purchased this and went through the setup. It was reasonable, but the most important feature of being able to monitor your pet remotely doesn’t work. The camera only works when you are on the same WiFi network that the camera is connected to. It will not work over a strong LTE connection. Thus, the main function of viewing your pet when your away doesn’t work. I’ve reached out to customer service with a hopeful fix, but I doubt one will be available as I’ve fiddled with all of the adjustable settings in the app and have tried restarting, rerunning setup several times. Treat dispenser and music work well. It’s too bad the main function of remote monitoring as shown on their web site simply doesn’t work.

This thing FIRES the treats out a long way. Under the couch, 20 feet across the room, etc. The app is buggy. Major buggy. I have 170Mbps internet and I can't get the laser to work when I'm in the APP, which is poorly designed by the way. It does play the music, but after a week of trying it with the dogs, they don't respond to it unless it's really quiet in the house. The sound it makes when it shoots the treats scares the crap out of one dog. The puppy doesn't seem to mind, but if your dog is skittish, forget it. The square where the treats comes out is very small; like a change return on a soda machine. Too small to get my dog's beak in there, so some will sit in there and get stale. The scariest thing is that it says right on it not to look at the laser. How are you supposed to tell your dogs not to look at the laser? Not that it works, but it might be nice if there were some instructions that would tell you how to work the laser. The app isn't going to help, believe me. Oh, and if you take a crappy photo, you have to clear the screen before you can take another one. I don't know about you, but my dog requires at least 20 shots to get one good one. So keep trying gang!

Decent quality. Uncomplicated design. I can't use it. Was going to use it through blue tooth and truck. Only works with home wifi.

Took a bit of fussing to get it to set up on my network. The 'instructions' and quick set up is too automated and can be problematic.The instructions as to what all the functions are VERY lacking -- Also hopefully in time they will provide some more capability such as TemperatureAlarm ( By SMS or Call).I do like the Camera Quality and Zoom.The Treat dispenser works once one finds the right treats to use - as the feeder can be finicky with some treats.I have not used the LaserThe Sound Sensitivity could be better.Overall I would but it again but I hope they do some App improvements and add some more detailed instructions.

We were so excited when we found this product. However our excitement when it arrived dwindled fast. As soon as we open the box and read the directions we went to download the app. We follow the directions and created a username and password. Once we hit the log in option the app kept crashing. We attempted on four different devices, turned on Wi-Fi and turned off Wi-Fi however the product still didn't work. Will be sending this product back very disheartened.
