My usual brand of root touch color was discontinued. So I went on a hunt for a replacement. I found this and was a bit hesitant to try it, admittedly because I am resistant to change. I am so happy that I did. It really matches my medium ash blonde color. It's easy to apply, the little brush has a different size on each end. That's a really great idea. Helps with precision in applying close to the hairline and not getting any on my forehead or temples. The puff is perfect for applying in my part. The coverage is really good. I can stretch out time between root touch ups.

I have light strawberry blonde hair and the light auburn/brown works great!My hairline looks thicker and it buys me a week+ before needing a root touch up. It stays put and seems to add some lift and texture. Worth it -

I like the color. I don't like the fact it runs if u sweat. Makes ur hair feel dirty but you are putting product on. Coloring is great and covers bald areas well.

THIS IS AN AWESOME PRODUCT!We travel a lot, domestically and internationally, and I am often away for months at a time, from my hairdresser of 35 years.I am 70, and wear my hair in long layers, about to the middle of my back.Around my face and part, the white hairs will become rampant! And I have a "skunk stripe" in the middle of my forehead from a long scar that goes into my hairline/scalp. Since my hair is highlighted, I use 3 colors in this order, one on top of the other.First the LIGHT BROWN, Second the DARK BLONDE and third the LIGHT BLONDE. I can daub it on very quickly, lasts all day, powder is not noticeable, covers the white.I use the dark brown on my eyebrows. It is also a very soft effect, not like a hard edge drawn on pencil.I ordered 3 sets, one for the luggage, one for the RV and one for home.I have bought kits for all my similar age girlfriends, they love it too!

I love this product! It really fills in the thin spots and does not cause my scalp to itch like other products have. A little bit goes a long way! I really appreciate the affordable price.

I’ve been using these types of hair line / root cover powders for years and have tried many brands. The reality is, none cover gray hair well but they do help lessen the appearance of grays and fill in sparse areas. They help blend in gray by coloring the skin underneath. So once you understand how they work you can decide if they will work for you. I went through menopause fairly early (45) and have been struggling with thinning hair since. These hairline powders are not only good for camouflaging grays but where they really shine are when used for filling in cowlicks and bald patches, sparse areas at my temples and part. I’ve even used them in my eyebrows. This powder stays where you put it but yes, some will get on your finger tips or under your nails if you forget and scratch your head or something. I just recently started coloring my grays, so I use it in between salon visits to blend some of them in.This item performs as I expected and is a great value because you get two for the price of one. My hair is a light to medium ash brown naturally, but I’m about 20% gray now (mostly around my face and temples) and get warm highlights. I purchased the dark brown shade after reading the reviews and based on my past experience with these types of products. Light and medium brown options are pretty much always too red/warm for me. While the dark brown is the perfect ash brown shade for me, I only gave it 4 stars because the shades could use some work. I’m not sure this color would be dark enough or saturated enough for someone who actually has dark brown hair. I use the sponge this comes with to fill in larger areas like my temples but then I use a small brush from another brand’s root cover compact to fill in sparse spots along my part and other small areas. I think a densely-packed eye shadow brush would also work well for this use. I’m satisfied with my purchase and would repurchase if and when I run out. My purchase came with two so I’m all set for a good while.
