Brilliant value!Really soothing on skin after a long day in the sun. I'd recommend putting them in the fridge the night before use, as when cold, you really feel the difference!

I'm afraid these are definitely not for me, nor my wife. My initial impression was one of a cross between the Jason character from Friday the 13th and the Vincent Price film "House of Wax". Putting them on is a bit fiddly as they tend to slide off one part of the face as you stick them down into another, they're also quite difficult to push in to every contour of your face. Once on you peel away the outer layer leaving a slimy second skin grotesquely plastered to your face for 15 long minutes. Unfortunately the experience is not over at that time as you're them supposed to gently rub the excess moisturiser into your face, which sort of leaves you wondering why you couldn't have just done that in the first place.The moisturiser is nice enough (although my wife found it left her skin feeling uncomfortable).Some people may like these, but frankly, we found the whole experience very unpleasant.

These after sun tissue masks are incredibly soothing, no doubt due to the cooling witch hazel. After a day with my face inadvertently in the sunshine, I applied one to the face for 15 minutes. This allowed not just the face to cool down but the entire body to relax.Instructions on how to use these tissue masks are helpfully printed on the back of the foil packs. The foil helps retain the moisture and enables the mask to rehydrate and revitalise delicate facial skin.I regularly use Ambre Solaire for sun protection and true to form, this Ambre Solaire mask did not irritate my sensitive skin. I love the fact that these are individually packed and portable for travelling (32 g). These are purchased as a pack of 5 and cost £3.50 each (Amazon June 2018).

At the time of writing, reviews of this product are conflated with various other listings for Ambre Solaire after sun treatments. I find this conflation extremely unhelpful as a consumer.My review is for the sheet face masks, not other items. In my view, these masks are at best OK. They feel very nice, and definitely have cooling and soothing after-sun exposure effects. However, they're expensive compared to a simple after sun cream (at the time of writing £17.50 for 5 individual single-use mask sachets) and environmentally damaging/wasteful. Neither the plastic-enriched sheet masks, nor the foil envelopes they arrive in can be recycled by my local authority, or the neighbouring authority.I've used Ambre Solaire products since I was a child. There are many I would recommend. This one, for several reasons, I would not.

The actual After Sun Cooling face sheet mask is actually brilliant! They are so refreshing after being in the sun as I was in Tenerife for 2 weeks. I found after taking out the mask there was loads of product on the mask and a ton left inside the ultra large packet. Anyway I made one mask last me 2 days. I just took the mask off and popped it back into the packet. Then it went into the fridge in my room.The only problem I have is the large packet...........you really need to consider a smaller packet that can be recycled better.

I'm afraid I don't like these for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I just didn't like the slimy feel of the sheet on my face. It is not that I am averse to face masks as I use them regularly, but the sheets have so much product that they feel very slippery. This leads to the second reason why I wouldn't buy this in future. At £17.50 for five these are expensive and there is a lot of excess product that is just wasted. There is nothing at all wrong with the Ambre Solaire aftersun, but I prefer it in a bottle where I can apply as much as is needed.
