Very cute Lego hospital
Adorable Lego set, my granddaughter age 9 finds it challenging, but does figure it out. Sometimes needs a little help but loves it.

Don’t bother with this one
This was bought as something I could do with my granddaughters when they were at my house. Instead of being something fun we could work on together, we gave up on it within 20 minutes of starting with nothing to show for our efforts other than a few of the people put together. It has nice instructions but, when we were trying to build the base of the house, it wasn’t staying together. The pieces don’t have a snug enough fit to each other so it falls apart with any movement. We gave up and decided to put in a donation box. Maybe someone else will be able to make it work for them. The next kit will be a more trustworthy brand.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. Don’t expect LEGO level quality. The pieces are really hard to snap together, and once built, it feels pretty flimsy. Even the instructions are hard to follow. You have to keep counting studs, and even adults need to be very careful not to make mistakes.

This is a fantastic set imo. When I was growing up L3GOs were always considered to be more of a masculine toy, so there simply weren't any sets marketed to the girls. Of course EVERY set can be enjoyed by absolutely anybody, but it was still a struggle getting the girls interested. Watching my nieces over the years it became clear that they loved playing house with their miniature Barbie figurines, so this was the next logical step and it turned out to be a HIT. The first thing that seems pretty obvious is that this is set is NOT an electronic device, so right there we have a win. Trying to get kids away from screens these days can be like pulling teeth, so I've often found that the best way to do that is to offer something tangibly creative. Somewhat ironically, the friends theme offered here is suggestive of something that would interest younger girls between the ages of 3-5, yet the mental and physical capacity required to build it would necessitate someone much older. So what better way to bring the two age groups together? I'll admit, I had to lend a rather generous hand in constructing the bulk of the structures, but it wasn't without the help of my younger constituents. Sounding like a politician here...lol There are an incredible amount of pieces (over 900) so younger audiences are likely to feel overwhelmed initially; but with the right amount of encouragement and patience, some building skills are sure to be learned. Getting them to identify which room was being constructed and where it should go was a good start. Love the hot air balloon myself and none of the pieces were missing so that was a major relief. As far as the size, the pieces are almost identical to that of standard sized L3GO blocks so choking hazards are still a thing. If your child is under the age of 5, I can't say that I can recommend it. Even under the most stringent supervision, accidents can happen; so better play it safe. Construction might also require the assistance of someone older (as well as a great deal of time); and in the case of impatient kids, losing their interest is a real possibility. With a few distractions, it literally took us a good 2 hours to get the whole thing done. But afterwards it was a ball seeing where their imagination could take them. Really, it's easiest to just think of this as yet another L3GO set tbh. It builds the same way, the size is nearly identical, and the pieces stick on just as tightly. The instructions were pretty darn good too. Usually with aftermarket stuff the literature is rather poor, but it's well done here. The booklet is large, with full coloured pictures and everything. Honestly quite impressed. As long as your audience is willing to put in some work and responsible enough to handle small pieces, I think this set is a real winner. Full marks from me.

I thoroughly enjoyed building the Sluban Hospital Set (M38-B1216) from their Metropolis line. It has a charming and original look, with quality that's noticeably improved since I last built with Sluban years ago. The bricks fit well, come in unique colours, and feature several custom pieces. I especially liked the printed window pieces, and even the figures have their own charm. This set includes a small hospital building with multiple rooms and a pull-back vehicle, which adds a fun play element. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, although some colours in the manual don’t match perfectly with the actual pieces. This didn’t affect the build too much but might be a minor challenge for some. Structurally, I think the set could benefit from added support on the second and third floors, such as doubling the plates in these areas for more stability. Once complete, the building is decently sturdy, but a little more reinforcement would make it even better. One area for improvement is the organization of the numbered steps and bags. Some steps require multiple bags, sometimes jumping out of sequence, which makes the process slightly confusing... especially for younger builders. Still, the build was engaging and took me about 2.5 hours to complete. The set includes several fun, play-focused features that children will love, like movable rooms that can be reconfigured for easy access and imaginative play. At a mid-range price per piece (around 7.4 cents), I feel the value is good for the unique design, custom pieces, and playability. Plus, Sluban figures have some accessories that are compatible with Lego minifigures, which is a nice bonus. With quality improvements and a unique design, this set was a delight to build. Sluban sets are charming and enjoyable, and I’m so excited to build more!

The pieces do not stay together when built, definitely not Lego quality but still fun. The people aren’t the best either because the hair pieces fall off easily and once you put them together you cannot take them apart anymore to change them which is annoying .

Brau cadeau, jeu un peu difficile pour un enfant de 6 ans a cause des petites pièces et de la notice pas assez bien expliqué.

This is our 3rd Sluban building block set and they never disappoint! They quality is comparable to the Friends sets, at a small fraction of the cost. The pieces themselves are really good quality. Fully compatible with the top brand, and very similar as far as their ability to snap together properly without gaps or loose connections. Instructions are at a good pace and are in full colour. Includes helpful tips to ensure you’re getting the correct blocks where there may be ambiguity over the size/height of the block. Easy to follow along even for my kids. All the bags are labelled clearly and match the directions. What I love about the Sluban sets are the strong attention to details. Each set has a ton of little characters, and lots of furnishings and equipment in addition to the main building structure. I think the Sluban sets even win over the branded sets in this respect. There's cute little computer monitors, scanner machines, hospital beds, a wheelchair, and little medicine bottles. So adorable! Note: we're not done building it, so the pictures of the zoomed-in details are from one of our previous sets, but you get the idea of how intricate all the little details are when assembled. Only one thing I'd love to see is slightly bolder colours on some of the sets. The pastels are a little washed out looking. I love the more vibrant fushcia, teal etc. in some of the branded sets. Such a minor thing, and maybe just my personal preference anyways!
