How? Because now I don't have smelly slimey cat food spread all over my kitchen floor and cupboard sides three times a day! I purchased this feeding station to improve the look of where I feed my cats as it looks better than the mish mash of all the different bowls they had. I really didn't think it would or could improve the mess situation that one of my cats makes. He eats really fast and shovels the food out of the bowl spreading it everywhere, grunting while he does it! Even my other cats would give him the side eye in disgust! Then I would have to get on my knees to try and pick the stuff up off the floor and bin it, then clean the floor. It was driving me crazy!Well this feeding station has changed that. He still eats the same way, but because the bowl is so curved and smooth the food tends to slide back in to the middle of the bowl. Only a tiny morsel might come out but it sits on the edge of the wood surround and can easily be prodded back in to the bowl. There no nooks and crannies or crevices for food to get trapped. I haven't had any food on my floor since having this. The bowls pop out really easily, and are very easy to wash with a little detergent and warm water.Also they now eat all the foods when it is served, and not leave it to dry out and get wasted. Obviously due to the shape of other bowls they couldn't eat the rest of the food as it was getting stuck in corners.So to sum up :*It stops food waste as they eat it all and lick the bowls clean*It stops food ending up on the floor*Very easy to clean*It looks beautiful. Very good quality.I love it! My cats love it! Definitely worth the money.

Needed new bowl solution as I was looking to move feeding location from dining room into kitchen. Kitten (10m old) is used to raised catit bowl which I was moving to another room and when I saw these raised ones and similar brands (cheaper prices), I was swayed to this one by the stylish quality including being whisker friendly. Glad to see you can get replacement bowls. Within a couple of minutes he had his first feed in new location with no trouble and also drinks more water as he can see it easily. Great product and a happy kitty.
