The Aquatec PSW-240 tank shutoff (TSO) switch for the Aquatec booster pumps used in RO systems with a tank. This switch connects to your water line on your RO system and shuts off the pump when the tank pressure exceeds 40 PSI or the ESO (if applicable) turns off. This prevents your pump from running unnecessarily. The TSO features 1/4" quick connect fittings and comes preset in "Normally Closed" position. The TSO does not require the ESO and can be used on it's own.Product FeaturesAquatec PSW-240 TSOThe Aquatec PSW-240 TSO automatically shuts off the pump when the tank is full or the ESO (if applicable) turns off.1/4" Quick ConnectThe TSO features 1/4" quick-connect fittings for quick & simple connection.40 PSIThe TSO is preset at 40 PSI shutoffAquatec PumpsThe TSO works with both the Aquatec CDP 6800 & 8800 booster pumps.Product DescriptionThe Aquatec PSW-240 tank shut off (TSO) switch for the Aquatec booster pumps used in RO systems with a tank. Great replacement
works great, it is a replacement.installed, checked the pressure gauges [ inlet and tank pressure] starts and shuts off pump perfectly.pump is set for 75 PSI. the tank pressure cuts off pump at 40 PSIprior problem is the switch would not cut off the pump, i would have to tap on the switch to cut the pump off.

Great little unit!
This works very well for me. I installed an Aquatec 8800 pump on my RO/DI unit for my aquarium. This was my first time using the system in any capacity so I did a lot of research to find the real benefit of the pump. My water pressure was just not high enough at an average of 42 psi, so I decided to bite the bullet and take a chance on the pump. I was using a shutoff float in my RO/DI water barrel and liked that I didn't have to monitor the water to turn it off when full. This unit was very easy to put inline with the pump; it was installed in under 10 minutes. The first night I made water while I was in bed for the night and I was really worried that I would wake up to water all over the floor (it's set up near the drain so there wouldn't have been a flood but the floor would have been wet, with a lot of water wasted. When I went to check the unit, it was quiet... a great sign (the pump is moderately noisy... LOL) All was well with the world. I've used it 4 times since and it hasn't let me down. It was well worth the money for my time saved in not having to monitor the pump to turn it off and not having water (and electricity) wasted.

Works as directed
You can increase the top pressure to about 100 psi but I find no way to correct low pressure activation. I increased from 80 shutoff but still lower end kicks back in at 60 psi. Should be 80-100. The make another one of these that starts at 100 psi or so and I recommend getting the higher psi.

Expensive but needed
Works as advertised. I find it expensive for the purpose, but needed.

Good product
Works good so far, can’t complain, if you have electric pump you have to have TSO, works as described.

Wanted to increase it to 60 so I could increase my holding pressure tank to 50 and get good water flow from my fridge
Works at the factory set psi (40 which is not in the description). Wanted to increase it to 60 so I could increase my holding pressure tank to 50 and get good water flow from my fridge. Carefully found the allen key that fit the pressure head adjustment and as soon as I started to turn the set screw stripped. It is fine and good at 40 psi but not very adjustable, need a decent set screw in the switch to allow for adjustments. After working with this switch the problem I have is that it does not cut the pump back on until 0 psi is reached. My entire RO tank drains and the pressure in the fridge completely drops and then this lets the pump cut back on and then you have to wait for the tank to fill before getting more water.

Work well, but pump start-up pressure is too high
This TSO works well. Cut-off pump power at customized pressure at 50~60 psi. The only thing I don't like is that the pump start-up pressure is too high at 30spi. That means it triggers the pump again when less than a gallon of water is used from the tank. One solution to avoid frequent pumping and its noise is to use smart power switch and set the pumping time at early morning everyday so that we will not be annoyed by pump sound frequently.
