Great water
Easy set up. Works well and makes excellent tasting water.Package does include 2 charcoal filters that kind of resemble silica gel packets... that i promptly threw away before I realized what they were.It does put off some heat while running and fan creates some noticeable noise is you are in the same room.Design is easy to operate.

It is amazing to see the amount and color of the residue from our filtered well water.
This is my first distilled water machine. I was amazed and disgusted at the residue that was left on the bottom of the canister from otherwise "clean" tap water. The distilled water was pure and clean. I put it in my humidifier at night. I have a Dyson air filter that "sees" the contaminants in the air. Typically, it turns to high air mode when the humidifier runs with R.O. water. Now, it runs on low to medium when it senses the added humidity. My wife and I are using distilled water for most of our personal daily water needs. We typically make two gallons a day. I'm not sure how long this machine will last, but it has been great so far. It is simple to use. The handle on the canister won't tighten completely, but it functions well enough. Also, the lid on the canister is difficult to tighten, which can result in water leakage when pouring. We use water for coffee, cooking, drinking, and other daily purposes. Taste has not been an issue with the lack of minerals.

Quality water, quality product
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this water distiller regularly and it does exactly what it promises — delivers clean, pure water every single time. The machine runs about 4 hours per cycle, which is totally expected for this process, and I appreciate knowing it’s doing a thorough job. The end result tastes noticeably fresher than tap or even most bottled water, and I love the peace of mind it brings. The build feels sturdy, it’s simple to set up, and cleanup is straightforward once you get into the rhythm. For the price, it’s an excellent way to ensure you always have distilled water on hand for drinking, cooking, or even mixing with baby formula and herbal remedies. The only drawback for me is the pouring function — it can feel a little clumsy when transferring water to smaller containers. Because of that, I’d give it 4 stars instead of 5. That said, the performance and value are solid, and I’d still recommend it to anyone who cares about the quality of their water.Homestead mama certified 💯 🌱

Follow the instructions. A must.
This is a great distiller. I almost bought one for $700.00 dollars. I am glad I didn't. This is bigger than I thought and it gets the job done. It only took about 2 hours to half of the carafe full . Easy to operate, but maintaining the unit is a must if you want the unit for a longer period of time. I would buy it again and can only recommend it.

Horrible metallic taste
Are the coils made of aluminum? Idk but it can't be healthy to drink water that tastes like aluminum. It's a potent neurotoxin after all. I returned this and bought a waterdrop zero tds filter. Works pretty well so far and no yucky taste. If I really need distilled water I'll make it on my stove or pour grocery store distilled water through the waterdrop to remove the microplastics.

Excellent product
Works as advertised. Very easy to use. Everything is straightforward. Just follow directions and enjoy delicious water for drinking, irons, and other machines. No leaks. No smells. Product is excellent.I ordered an extra jug which is handy to have. This water is absolutely delicious.Because it does heat up my kitchen, I start the machine at night. It turns off automatically.

Does the job well, but takes some time
Got a new humidifier which takes about 1gallon of distilled H2O/day. With this distiller I don’t have to purchase/store gallon jugs.Easy to use once you get the knack of set up. Each process takes just a few minutes to set up. The 4 hour default fills the included gallon jug. I set it up in a spare bathroom or on our balcony when it is warm. The unit does have a steady hum from the fan a does generate some heat.Doesn’t really require any attention while running though I still am in habit of checking it periodically. I don’t think I will leave on while I’m not home.Periodic descaling only takes a few minutes with included crystals.Helps to be retired.
