The Spice Way Premium Habanero Ground Pepper - 4 oz

I ordered this because I had run out of dried diced habanero. I actually prefer this ground version much better because it allows for a fine tuning of the heat. I will definitely re-order when this runs out. The secret is to find an unused spice shaker and drop this in it. Then you have total control over spicy or not spicy.

When I got this & opened the bag, I immediate was impressed how fresh it was! No additives & visually of great quality. I use this for my homemade chili oil of garlic & fresh green chili (whichever kind is on sale); & I get to control the level of spiciness with this Habanero ground to meet the palette of each family member. I can't take insults that my chili oil is not hot enough, or too spicy to eat... in comes this reliable Habanero, enabling my cooking skills. It's a great buy.

So. I've been experimenting with a variety of beef jerky recipes. Out of the variety of jerky I make, the only complaint I've heard a number of times is that the "hot" jerky was not spicy enough. Chili flakes, black pepper, tabasco - That was about the extent of the spicy. I love the taste of habanero but I was a little concerned that most people would think it's too hot. I'll tell you, it's not. 1 heaping tablespoon in my 3 cup base kicked the jerky into high gear. Something I wasn't expecting was that this particular product (3rd I've tried) added a crazy amazing fruity and mellow flavor. You taste that first then the heat hits the back of your throat and you're hooked. Can't stop eating it. Everyone that's tried it has loved the heat. Honestly, it's not all that hot and only lingers for about 5-6 minutes but it gives the flavor and kick I've been looking for.Great product The Spice way. I'd pay a bit extra for a fancy container. Just saying.

I love the flavor of habanero and was so happy when i found out i could order it in powder form. It's a great addition to my spice cabinet and has a nice kick to it.

I was sneezing a lot when I transferred it in a jar be careful but this is exactly what I was looking for dorn need much it’s very spicy I love it I stopped using hot sauce because of the salt content this works very well for me thank you
