MeacoCool MC Series 9000-9000BTU Portable Air Conditioner With Window Kit

Arrives well packaged; the box lifts off the base. Unit appears well constructed from quality material.Very mobile on hard floors but would be less easy on soft carpet. One person can lift the entire unit using the grab handles.I have installed the unit in a 'loft' bedroom, which has a suitable brick wall into the adjacent loft proper. The room has no opening windows and gets hot and stuff in summer.Using a cut down section of the window vent kit I have placed the unit close to a wall and cut a matching hole through the brick, permanently fixing the section to the wall with strong adhesive. This allows the unit to be coupled close up, and uncoupled easily.Using the unit results in water collecting in the base tray. The unit will switch off once tray is full, emptying it manually looks tricky and would tend to result in spilled water. I have piped the supplied drain tube through an outside wall, negating any issues with manual emptying and auto shutdown.The room was hot and once I'd finished installation it cooled the air down very rapidly. The latent heat in the walls and ceiling mean it would take a while to cool the room enough to sleep without it running. However, I'm sure the noise on low setting is acceptable for sleep (If you can sleep on a plane.....)Remote functionality is comprehensive and simple.

This air conditioner was a grave disappointment. It took my husband half an hour to connect the horrible hose. We had to tape it to the exhaust hole The hose is too short.

I have had it three days now and it definitely works all be it a bit noisy and we are only using it at night even though it was one of the more energy efficient units I could find. The window kit is useless unless you have a patio door style window which can slide over and seal it. I have used a sheet of bubble wrap and taped it to the window the best I can and we have comfortable nights sleep all be it noisy.The unit is nice and small easy to move around and lifting it up the stairs too.I have ordered an extension kit to have it in a better position within the various rooms we want to use it in.I still have to drain the unit so I will have to wait and see. The delivery was prompt using Prime and the electric bill too.The manual could be better as others have commented as well.

This is the third Meaco product that we have purchased and they are very well designed and made. Very thoughtfully designed and well made. They also look and perform much better than alternatives.This smart unit fits brilliantly into the home office without taking up too much space but does the job brilliantly.

I like everything

Although very good at cooling the room, we went from around 28c to 20c in about an hour and a half, the flexible hose is nothing short of absolute rubbish. The amount of times it comes out of the adapter that clips onto the back of the unit is extremely frustrating. The only sure fire way of keeping it in is glueing it which I’m about to resort to having to do. The amount of in and put the end of the hose is doing into the adapter is now causing permanent creasing in the hose which I expect to become defective soon. Good overall product, just very poor design for venting.

good quality product.smart looking.works well.cools my bedroom within minutes, nice and powerful.many functions.Nagatives: large and heavy (will take up loads of space to store away throughout most of year if you have a small flat)slightly high in price and relatively noisy.

I have brought the AC right time just before hottest days!!! I am enjoying it!!!My advice to buy!!!!!
